"Some of the staff are very nice and great while the rest aren’t. We came in for my son who has rsv, so his breathing is a big concern. I don’t know how many times I’ve had to ask repeatedly to get someone into our room to fix his oxygen levels monitor and no will come back unless I walk out and physically get someone. Even when I had to go out to the nurses station to get someone, even though they are supposed to be monitoring from their desk, the nurses were just sitting there chatting it up and made someone else fix his monitor. Rediculous. I come here to get help for my son and I have to go out of my way to ask for people to help him, it’s your job."
"Worse children hospital I’ve ever taken my child in their life, a pediatrician cannot make her own decisions as a physician, asked another physician for her point or view. Ending up subscribing my daughter Motrin after waiting over 5 years for a really bad sinus infection she had. I ended up going to another facility and gave her antibiotics thanks to them she fine otherwise I don’t know where my daughter would’ve end up. I highly don’t advise anybody to take your kids to this hospital. Horrible service, unprofessional, inattentive and worse of all the physicians they gave are lost. All they do it’s have you wait for so many unnecessary hours to bill insurance. This is ridiculous and unacceptable."
"I have mixed feelings about leaving a bad review. All the nurses and a few of the drs have been so kind and wonderful. But my daughter came in to er having been throwing up for two weeks straight for the second time , lost ten lbs, couldn’t keep any food down, and i had to throw a fit just for them to do a ct of her abdomen, they wanted to do an X-ray and labs and send her home With meds we had already told them weren’t working. They did ct then yet again wanted to send a kid with severe stomach pain and vomiting home to keep doing so. They finally admitted her after i got upset about the lack of care.then they forgot to put her diet orders in and she was skipped for breakfast. As we sit here it’s almost noon and she hasn’t eaten though she’s been telling them since 9am she’s hungry. We told them she’s dairy free and they’ve offered cheese it’s and pizza (a greasy spicy pizza to a kids that’s been vomiting and is lactose intolerant ). But still no lunch. GI dr came and basically same answers we don’t know why she’s vomiting and losing weight, let’s try these meds and see. Refusing to do a scope unless after these meds it’s keeps happening. The drs or nurses stood outside the door talking bad about me being upset with them, where i could hear them. The cafeteria has very little food allergen free offerings and was extremely expensive for me to go get food.(i can’t eat gluten). The gift shop is closed for the holiday and they didn’t have all the toiletries i needed… just over all not a great experience for this hospital to be so highly rated. The triage nurse was hateful when my daughter ( who has a real fear of needles) freaked out over a finger prick; and told the er staff she almost Got bit. Which is a huge lie and a horrible thing to say about a 14 year old with a true fear. The er nurses were wonderful and so was the child therapist and really did great with her iv when she is normally terrified. Nutrition finally just brought her food at noon after asking for three hours and brought a kid who had been vomiting for weeks spicy fries and fried chicken strips. I’m just absolutely disgusted at the lack of care and attention and how we have been treated."
