"The liquor store I frequent never fails to have exactly what I need, boasting a vast assortment of wines and spirits. It's not only a reliable source for my regular purchases, but also a fantastic destination to indulge in the exploration of new drinks during the weekends. With their generous array of sample choices, I can always find a delightful beverage to try and expand my palate. *VISIT @Houseofbeautyaustin @Austin360Cam"
"A friend recommended Spec's deli for catering a party. The ordering process was confusing because their web site had two different catering menus for the same location, which had overlapping items in some cases and totally different items in others. When we called to place the order, they weren't sure which menu was correct but were very responsive about getting back to us and said the order we put in would be fine. Part of it did turn out fine and was great! Part of the menu was not as described but still OK, like ... the brownies had fewer ingredients (or fewer types of brownie) than what the menu had said. Whatever, they were great brownies. Part of it was just bad, though. An order of a plate of finger sandwiches not only had the wrong ingredients (their menu indicated ham or turkey and we got ... PB&J) but the bread was stale besides. They'd closed by the time we noticed, so when we notified them on Monday, the deli manager apologized and offered us a refund ... only, we had to go into the store to get the refund, or else call their corporate headquarters in Houston. A week later, I went in to the store and they offered me a gift card. I asked for the refund and they said I would have to have the original paper receipt and remember the original cash register used to make the purchase. The manager who had initially offered the refund knew we had neither of those things but this wasn't a problem until we showed up in person. The floor manager went of to investigate and kept us waiting for ten minutes. We eventually left and just disputed the charge with our bank, which took a lot less time and energy. Specs has great products but their point of sale system seems like it's from the 1990s. It shouldn't take hours and an in-person visit to get a $60 refund."
"The liqueur shop seems to have the best specs. There are many different types of drinks. Wine, whiskey, cognac, oriental liquor, vodka, tequila, cocktail liqueur, etc."
"Spec's is the Home Depot of liquor stores. Everyone knows they have just about everything you'll ever need in the way of beer, wine and spirits. But now that I no longer imbibe I still have a good reason to go there...for the great selection of fine foods not available in other local stores. Just browse the aisles and see what interesting finds are available. Cans of flavored peanuts from The Peanut Shop are less expensive here than directly from the supplier. Thanks Spec's! Update 8/3/2020: Just had my first experience with the deli. OMG! Now I have a new menu of delicious food options to work my way through. The Lucky Lucy and Texan are superb sandwiches, and a superior value when compared to other delicatessens."
"My review is for the humidor only. These guys were all business with a large rectangular walk-in well maintained humidor that was bright and appealing. The selection was just above average, and the sticks appeared to be well maintained. They also did something I had seen before, but to a lesser degree: they integrated various alcohol displays alongside and with the cigars-a simple, but brilliant idea. The young male clerk I spoke w was an extremely helpful and knowledgeable re certain cigar selections (he even had smoked the few I asked about and confirmed if he felt they were good or bad). I do appreciate that. This humidor get high marks from me."
