"My son has been there since he was 1 year old, he’s now 3, and has loved every of it. He loves his teachers and sometimes doesn’t even want to leave. We haven’t had any issues whatsoever and if there’s any accidents, the teachers are quick to tell us."
"This daycare should be deeply investigated and be shut down. My son recently started talking and started telling me the teacher would hit him. Countless times did my son come home with bruises, deep cuts, and bite marks yet NO ONE knew anything. If you want to take your child to a daycare where no incident report is done, and items are constantly being misplaced and lost enroll your child/children here. Cameras are available but apparently are never working when situations happen and video needs to be reviewed. So shady. Go elsewhere"
"The daycare has great potential. I had a horrible experience with Irma Ruiz one of the toddler teachers. Later I heard from other parents their kids were also coming home with bruises. So I would not recommend that teacher at all. I had no problems with any of the other teachers and the owners were really nice."
"Learning Journey is amazing in many ways, and of course, like all new parents.... I didn’t even want to leave my baby; but that wasn’t an option for me, so.... after doing my research on childcare facilities, I quickly gravitated towards the “Rising Star” facilities. There aren’t many I must say.... after thoroughly doing my research, I decided to take my child and he would be my litmus test of which facility to choose. I visited both of the Learning Journey facilities, and they were both incredible with great reviews; but that’s when it came to the staff. I’m a teacher myself, and I know the computers can teach kids....and stimulate their minds, and be a fascinating attention grabber.... but there is something about a nurturing care-taker, that is difficult to come by, and sometimes the best decipher of this character quality in a person is tested by how your child reacts with them, to them, and after long hours of being with them. Irma Ruiz, was the first person I left my son with. My son has a lot of sensory issues, could possibly be on the spectrum... too young to tell and this time; however, the differences that I’ve witnessed after having my son in her care for ten months now, is that he is trying new foods. Many people would criticize me for feeding him, saying that I was babying him, but I remember that first day I took him, Ms. Irma sat down and spoon fed him, until he could grasp the utensil independently. I haven’t met many people who go the extra mile for someone else’s child, and this teacher does. I honestly believe that she would work for free, if she didn’t have to support her own family.... that’s how much she enjoys the children that she gets to influence. I cannot day enough about the place Learning Journey, because I know that it is a leader that makes a place successful; and from a personal standpoint, the integrity of my son’s teacher, has helped me to trust leaving my child, helped me to advance my career, and in closing.... maybe I’m old fashioned; but I am friend’s on Facebook with my son’s teacher at learning journey. Sometimes I peak during the day, and not once have I seen her on fb while she’s working, which is something important to me to offer to my students. It’s a job, and you are impacting children. I don’t ever want for my kiddos to have to compete for my attention when I have real lives right in front of me trusted in my care. This is the person that Irma Ruiz is, and it blesses me to know that during the times that I can’t be with my son, I have the confidence that the person who is with him, A. Wants to be there, B. Takes her job seriously and she exemplifies integrity, and C. The growth I’ve seen in my son in his ability to try new foods, his pincher grasp and fine motor skills are stronger and he can hold a spoon or fork, and even his speech is improving because someone is daily talking to him and caring for him like he is her own. Thank you"
"I have had my son with Teacher Irma Ruiz for over a year. I had tried two other daycares and my son had difficulty adjusting, this center was highly recommended by a colleague . It was amazing how quickly he adjusted to teacher Irma. I was allowed to pop in at anytime and I always witnessed her giving curriculum and interacting with the children in a loving nurturing way. She would send me pictures and updates throughout the week ( I was a nervous first time Mom). I knew my son was doing well because not only did he grow to love her but had outstanding learning outcomes. He is now with teacher Viti and Rosie and I am very pleased! The center has cameras in the rooms and a main monitor in the office which gives an added security and transparency. She works with an amazing team from the owner, to the manager to the beautiful lady that cooks the meals and worries about my sons appitite. This center is like a second home for my son and all the staff are awesome! I highly recommend this center."
