"I was referred to Louisville Surgical Associates after a May 2022 ultrasound revealed a foreign object in my leg. The surgeon was unaware of the ultrasound when I was first seen, but I assumed he would review it prior to surgery. I had surgery two months later, and had complications soon after. The surgeon told me that discharge from my leg was normal and tried to stitch the reopened surgery site with no treatment of the surrounding skin. When I called for a second opinion I was first told I wasn’t able to get one, and had to argue to be seen by another doctor. That visit revealed that the foreign object was likely still in my leg—this was confirmed by another scan. The first surgery had be performed on the wrong spot on my leg. I ended up needing another surgery, which had to heal open because of how messed up the first surgical site was. To add insult to injury, LSA assured me I would not have to pay for the follow up visits. They billed me a week later, and did nothing to resolve the issue despite my repeated requests. I would recommend ANYONE ELSE before Louisville Surgical Associates. I’ve not encountered a more poorly run practice."
