High Plains Children's Home and Family Services, Inc. is a compassionate institution located in Amarillo, Texas, dedicated to guiding those in our care towards Christ and instilling courage in them to become agents of love and hope. Since 1967, we have been building strong relationships with children in our care, providing them with a natural home environment and loving houseparents.

Our Independent Living Community for Adults with Special Needs, known as “Pa & Megan’s Place”, offers safety and security for adults with special needs. With 8 homes and an activity center, residents can live independently while receiving assistance with jobs, money management, and transportation.

In 2019, we established the High Plains Children’s Haven Emergency Shelter, providing a safe and loving environment for children entering the CPS system. Children stay with us for up to 90 days before finding more permanent placement.
