"Seasoned broccoli was not seasoned on me and my boyfriend’s plate, it was incredibly dry. My philly was delicious however. Watched the server pick up our appetizer under the lamp, put it down, drape herself over the bar for a few minutes and then deliver the appetizer. I had to go up to the bar to see what happened to my beer, another server picked it up when they saw me approaching. There was a bad review just two hours before mine, off night i guess? Our server said she tried the one chip challenge and was in the bathroom, i wouldn’t have attempted a spicy chip challenge that’s supposed to incapacitate me while im at work, maybe i would have done that after i clocked out."

"This was probably one of the best places we stopped at during our cross country road trip. I'll be honest, I didn't have high expectations when we first arrived, I figured it was just another sports bar, but we walked in, found a seat at the bar, and the bartender immediately came over to us. Shook our hand, and asked what we would like to drink, and if we would be needing menus. He had the absolute best personality, after being on the road pretty much most of the day, it was nice to have a great bartender. Not being from the area, he was more than happy to answer questions about the sights around the area. We ordered the fried pickle chips for an appetizer, and they came out quickly, and the portion was huge! I ordered the fish tacos, my husband had a burger, and again, the food came out quickly, was hot, and everything tasted super fresh. More amazing was when the bill arrived! They say everything is bigger in Texas, I guess is true, except for the bill, which was an awesome bonus! We will definitely be back!"

"We stopped in for lunch at noon on a Wednesday. Service was quick and everything on the menu seemed priced really well. Went to the bathroom straightaway and everything was clean and smelled fresh I had the Cajun Chicken and my wife and MIL split the fish and chips. We were all highly impressed. The food came out piping hot and in huge portions. My chicken was cooked perfectly, 2 large juicy breasts that had great turgor that melted in each bite. They were liberal with the shrimp in the sauce, as well. Just excellent, with a touch of spice but not so much that it would be too hot for an average person. The fish was wonderfully flaky and the fries were crisp and well seasoned. They both had their fill and had a little leftover still. This was easily the best restaurant meal I've had in quite a while, and we eat out fairly often. Just really well made top to bottom, and generous portions at a great price. I can't fathom why this place isn't one of the busier spots in town. People are missing out"

On Mother's Day, May 14, 2023 I wanted to try a place I had never been, so J's Bar n' Grill is what I decided, for my girls' and I to try out. This place definitely felt, Peaceful, the service was very good, as well the food was truly tasty. One of my girls had the chicken dinner, served with her choice of fries, as well a house salad. She definitely had extra to take home. My other girl, as well, as for myself had the steak dinner with a fully loaded mash potatos, that was served with a house salad. They have so much more to chose from on the menu, as well. The bar looked like a nice place to sit and chill, if you just want to have your drinks and eat too. This place has pool tables.. extra fun to add to your visit. Though at the time we were there all the pool tables were taken up, yet people were all enjoying their time at this place with an amazing atmosphere, full of laughter all around you. "We stopped in at J’s today for lunch and we’re glad we did. Mack was our server and made us feel welcome since it was our first visit. There was no wait and Mack took our order quickly, answering questions and making suggestions. The food was excellent! My wife really enjoyed her cheeseburger and, best of all, J’s had sweet potato fries so she loved it all. I had the Hangover Burger because it had an egg on it, and between the juicy burger and the egg yolk both dripping off my hands it was the best burger I’d had in a long time. The fries were good too, flavorful and crisp without being overcooked, and just the right size since I am not a fan of large steak-cut fries. The only minor bump in our entire dining experience was that we asked for the veggies to be put on the side which were not. But even with that minor hiccup we still had a great time and we’ll definitely be back, and soon."
