"Such a great place to stop along the River Walk and enjoy a cold Shiner. On nice days, they frequently have live music playing outside. I really enjoyed stopping by when I was in San Antonio."
"This place is old and run down. They aren’t friendly and the music is too dang loud. I can’t even speak to my husband outside. They need to get rid of these awful DJs and do something else with the building. I asked the DJ and manager to turn down the music and they rudely ignored me. No one even goes here anymore. Please close down already."
"Love the people and feel of togetherness they have there. Great place for people like my husband who enjoy the company of fellow military men and women. It was good for his soul! Enjoyed meeting people at the Black Rifle Coffee gathering and live music."
"Although we've lived in San Antonio for over a decade after I retired from the Air Force, we've never been to this VFW until recently. A close friend and colleague decided to hold his military retirement and reception here. Since it was a Wednesday afternoon, there wasn't a lot happening on the Riverwalk but this place was fantastic. Despite the age of the building, they've done an amazing job of maintaining it. It's tucked away between apartment/condo buildings but you don't get the feeling that you're crowded. I want to extend my thanks to the staff for providing this space to all the veterans and encourage you to keep up the great work and tradition."
