"We ordered windows here for a remodel based on the recommendation of our contractor. After waiting 12 weeks, we reached out to confirm delivery details to learn the windows had never been ordered by the saleswoman. We then had to wait another 15 or so weeks, delaying our renovation completion. Now, a year later, we just got a phone call that the screens that came with the order are ready for pickup. Screens that we didn’t even know existed until now. Very poor communication and follow through."

"Based on great older reviews I think Grogan might be experiencing some recent problems. Estimated delivery time for 12 windows we ordered was 4-7 weeks. We are at the 5 week mark and were informed the entire order is backed up until March, and we are half way through our renovation and need windows by the 7 weeks we were told. I understand there is an international inventory and labor issue that is out of Grogon’s control. The employee who sold us the windows told us we can get a refund but there is a $500 fee. The $500 fee seems short sighted to me for retaining business. I did not cancel without cause, and it the delay is not my fault. The representative quoted us 4-7 weeks when we ordered. She was helpful when it was time to order, but started giving snarky one word answers over email when it came time to cancel our order. The employees, or at least the one we dealt with, do not seem to care if they get repeat business or not. Better communication is what we needed, I’ll make sure to warn anyone who listens about my experience. Update: they ended up refunding us the full amount. Now that the dust has settled I'm sure I will want to buy from Grogan again in the future - I've seen their work at friends' places and the windows are beautiful."

"It’s been a Nightmare experience from the start, our architect recommended this company for our new house and we purchased all doors and windows there, we have had multiple issues from the start, seems the glass is not as sturdy as it says and we didn’t cut corners on our purchase we bought the best, NOW our front door glass door is broken and who knows how since we are not living there yet, we are not under warranty according to them and we ordered the new glass which was over 500 $ just the glass pane alone to be replaced 2 weeks ago and we are still waiting to receive it, has to call for an update? not happy at all with the whole experience."

"I like this independently owned hardware, lumber and Benjamin Moore paint store on Yale St. at W. 24th St. in the Heights. Store associates are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I can walk in with a particular hardware item in mind and be taken to it's location. In a big box home improvement store, I end up spending 30 minutes looking for the item. Merchandise presentation is good and prices are reasonable. The only drawback is the fact that the price on many items is not marked."

"I enjoy this small scale business. Laura is super knowledgeable about paints. She remembers me after years and even remembers past colors we used. They are the local Benjamin Moore carrier, and have always provided great service. I don't normally have to wait for attention."
