"Costumes of the Americas Museum is a very wonderful museum where you can see the costumes of the mexican republic and the central america and the south America too."
"I visited today, August 24, 2023, to see the exhibit on Guatemalan textiles that is there from March 31 to August 31. I paid $4 for senior admission. There was no wait. I was the only visitor at the time. The attendant was helpful and answered all my questions. I was hoping to see more regions represented, but I understand the space is limited. I enjoyed seeing the plants and fountain on the patio."
"This is a beautiful museum dedicated to preserving culture and educating the public. It is a "must see" if you are in the Rio Grande Valley."
"A wide variety of western hemisphere cultures represented by traditional clothing styles. I was surprised to see clothing from many of the Plains tribes represented as well as the South Eastern US. I was really expecting more local and central American cultures. The examples were beautiful and it was a real pleasure to explore with the kids as well as some US history lessons. Free with admission to the Children's Museum and free every Sunday. Check it out."
