"The Brownsville Museum of Fine Arts is a great place to see new exhibitions. They change periodically. I was there for a school district meeting recently. The museum has a place for meetings as well. I have seen several art exhibitions here that are wonderful. Visit this place!"
"I've been here multiple times already, each time I bring a different friend that has never been here before. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the staff is very kind, and the food is amazing! I need to warn you though, you must come with a hearty appetite! If you're lucky, you may get to hear the saxophonist playing also. Highly recommend!"
"Centrally located in downtown Brownsville (Mitte Plaza) the museum provides permanent collections and visiting artist exhibits. There is a restaurant within and a gift shop. On Weekdays-talented, local artists can be seen in action. If your going to the Gladys Porter zoo- it is across the street! Note: The museum is located in an area which will soon facilitate a new building for the city farmer’s market (See photos of the ribbon cutting On March 20,2022)."
"We ate lunch at the wonderful restaurant there called Crepe Town. They had very interesting and delicious flavors in all the food we ate. They had a great vegetable soup on the house to start. The egg Chilaquiles were great and so were the crepes. We really enjoyed this quiet sanctuary for lunch."
"It's a small town museum and reflects that spirit. It is primarily 4 galleries and on the day we visited hosted a main exhibition by a national artist held in 2 galleries and in the ancillary wings, there was a group exhibition of local talents and a solo by a regional artist. Honestly wasn't expecting the Menil but assumed that the lights would of been turned on to view the paintings. Overall a cute and raw fine arts haven."
