"2 out of 5 - prices spiked tremendously! ** Update - 2024** Unfortunately I no longer go to this thrift as the prices increased. Shoes are expensive, a button up shirt is expensive, there is hardly anything less than $8. A girls crocs heavily used was $20. Even with the discount it wasn’t worth it. I don’t know what happened to this thrift. It used to be my favorite but they’ve become so greedy lately. I loved the variety of items in this place. I try giving this place a chance and each time I’m disappointed. I do not recommend. Family Thrift is much better and worth spending $50 for the 50% everything discount(Sunday only). You get an extra 5% off if you use their app. Better clothes and better prices. …… I’m an online reseller so this is my go to thrift to source items. I love this thrift for their discounts and have always preferred ya’ll over the Family Thrift Center by security due to the low prices. Recently I’ve noticed that pricing has gone up and is no different than FTC. A shirt would cost about $5-$7 but now I see plenty for $8 and above. You’d think the discounts would be worth it but the discounts are usually on already low priced items or items that have been sitting for more than a couple weeks."
"While vacationing to Brownsville, we stopped in and found a few things! Most items were good price, a few name brand things were much too high! $28.99 for a used under Armour sweatshirt? I would go back tho! Was organized and staff were friendly. Am pleased with things I did buy!"
"Used to be a good thrift store. Everything is pricey even before the pandemic. Literally saw a item from family dollar with a $1dollar sticker on the bottom and they were trying to sell it for $4. A lot of the clothes are from new brands too, even cheap shein and the price is spiked. whats the point of a thrift store if the clothes are the same price as retail?"
"This is maybe one of the best thrift stores in Brownsville Texas, very organized easy to find what you are searching for. The men's clothing is not a big selection but is still a fare amount. The prices are a little high but this is for profit organization. They have discount days."
"Finding clothes is ok, but the return policy is misleading. I got some clothes for my daughter, of course, no dressing rooms so we got home and they didn’t fit. I work until 8pm during the week and was out of town the following weekend. I brought the clothes back on the 14th day (per the return policy) and the girl informs me that it has been 15 days. I bought the clothes on the 11th, and today is the 25th. My math says that equals 14????? She wouldn’t take the clothes back so now I’m stuck with clothes that don’t fit my daughter because this place has employees that don’t know how to do math. I’ll take my donations and business somewhere else if they want to be that petty."
