The Gents Place Southlake

"Returned to area for a friend's funeral, thot i'd give Southlake's The Gents Place another chance. Did not get everything from the 7 step offer I paid for in September. Stylist said she'd been there 5 years, but repeatedly walked away during my time there, or kept looking around as if not sure what to do. When she 'finished' my stylist kept standing way too close to me, as if wanting a hug, which i never do, especially in this country, where that could be turned around on a man and land him in court, jail or both. This was in Sept, 2023. Wrote to Gents Place, 19 January got a response from a Macenzie Preston, but never heard another word! Great concept, traffic choked location on backside of building, probably good for people in area, not worth driving out of way for especially if you do not get all you pay for and the wierd staff. I will never attempt this again, I would encourage average, unpretentious men to avoid The Gents Place, especially South Lake most especially if you are a combat vet. ( I tried chasing down their charity for vets thru IRS database, only found loose ties to other charities, beware)"

"First class experience. Lexy was fantastic, fun to talk to, and did a great job on my hair on my first visit. Would definitely recommend. The barbershop is beautiful inside, and I enjoyed checking out the selection of high quality colognes before my appointment. The scalp massage and hair washing was a nice touch as well. While pricey, it was worth the price for the attention to detail and experience provided."

"I had some white in my beard that I wanted matched up and she blended it perfectly. I was worried about getting the beard trimmed because I didn't want to take off length, I just wanted it to be shaped better. This was always a chore for me to get done myself because the longer it gets the harder it is to see some of the angles properly. Had a great experience and I would definitely recommend it. Ask for Shannon H if you want it done right."

"Great experience and my haircut turned out great. Most chain barbershops just want to turn and burn their customers. The stylists here genuinely want to give you a great haircut. They do listen to what you want, but my stylist, Tori, also made a couple of great suggestions. The massage chair, scalp massage, and hot facial towel were all nice touches during the shampoo & conditioning portion of my visit. Plus, the free cocktail is a winner. Overall, I really enjoyed my service session and will be coming back."
