"Brought in 2 huge baskets of 2023 season fashion clothing all in great condition!!! And they only wanted to take some Nike joggers just wasted my time!!! All clothing in this establishment is also old and raggedy they could’ve really used my baskets."

"I honestly don’t know how to feel. I came yesterday after the buying hours (10-3) and they informed me of the hours and that the items had to be in a container, bin, paper bag… anything but a trash bag. I called the next morning to make sure the bin I was bringing it in was okay and they also informed me they are only taking fall/winter clothes. Mind you, my bin was full of all season clothes. After waiting for them to sort… they offered $5.55 for all of the clothes that had a tag that were SUMMER clothes. The tags were $20+ … I’m more so confused Lmao. But I went to the other one on Katy freeway and they offered $57.02 so maybe if this location doesn’t do you justice, go to another. I don’t shop at Plato’s, so I don’t know how the shopping experience is, but the selling process wasn’t the best."

"So I’m hauling bags in- Fast talking boy comes from under clothes to say, Hiii we stop at 3. Then he disappears back into clothes lol. I search to politely ask if they can update the website as I checked prior to coming. Now I’m being argumentative? Ugh first time coming to one of these. Love my Goodwill convenience, 2 mins away, pleasant encounters! Update your NO sign as well, add rudeness!"

"Seems like the majority of bad reviews are from people trying to sell their stuff. I haven't sold here, just bought. I think this is the best platos I've been to in the Houston area, there are so many good quality, sturdy items here. Barely and shein and forever 21! And prices are reasonable. But please vacuum the store, I've found dust bunnies everywhere lol"

"I’m genuinely baffled by all the poor reviews I’ve been coming here for 7 years religiously and I LOVE this Plato’s closet. I’ve had nothing but good experiences here. The place is well run and clean and there are lots of treasures to be found if you’re willing to take some time. Yes they want you to adhere to their guidelines but that’s standard at any Platos and naturally you probably won’t get rich from selling your things here but that’s the point of Platos closet: great second hand clothes at an affordable price point for the shoppers and quick cash for you. I recommend that you call ahead to see what styles they’re accepting, note they stop buying for the day at 3 pm most days, and they want the items in a bin not a trash can. It if you’re kind to the staff and follow the guidelines selling and buying here is a breeze and a very pleasant experience."
