"Me and my entire family decided to go to brunch at Tulum after hearing it was under new ownership. We had an amazing time the food was a 20/10 hands down the atmosphere was a vibe and the Dj was on point!!!! I would definitely come bk this is my new favorite spot"
"Let me start by saying that TulumHtx has potential and because of that I will likely return. The decor is well thought out and cute. The servers were attentive (shout out to Harley!). The music was dope. The hookah was smooth. Those were gold enough to make me want to return. Music alone will at least get me in the building. Now where they needed improvement. The menu qr code didn’t work so our server brought us a paper menu. It was a blurry, black and white, unorganized mess. The words were hard to make out and the prices were unclear. On top of that, it wasn’t separated by sections, so appetizers and entrees were all jumbled up, which made it hard to guess portion sizes. I ordered mozzarella “lollipops” only to receive run-of-the-mill previously frozen mozzarella sticks that arrived to my table warm and quickly cooled before I even finished the first one. They could’ve at least put em on a stick if they were going to call them lollipops. I thought I was getting something cute and innovative but they played in my face. I also ordered the nachos which looked like it was $6 so I was expecting an appetizer portion of a handful of chips individually topped and broiled. I received a stack of nachos piled high with toppings and overflowing on the plate. They were good but it was way too much food for just me. The drinks were disappointing as well. The jungle juice was 85% ice in a tall skinny glass and I just can’t understand the thought process that went into the creation of that drink. After going to Tulum’s IG, I saw that is just how they make it for everyone and not just me. If I would’ve known that going in, I would never have ordered that. It’s so much ice that you can’t even pick it up and drink from the glass because the ice is over the rim and will spill out. It was incredibly disappointing. The Tulum 75 was good though. It’s important to note that when I got there at 6pm on a Thursday, the place was completely empty. That says a lot. And while I was there, I witnessed quite a few groups come in, sit down, use the flashlight on their phones to try and read that blurry menu, and then get up and leave. It was telling of an issue that needs to be addressed. Hopefully management is taking note and planning to fix things."
"Celebrated my birthday at Tulum. Went for brunch. Good atmosphere, music and drinks. Great place to take pictures with the mural or on the swings outside. The waitstaff was friendly and accommodating."
