"I ordered a 2 tier cake from here for my sons first birthday. I left them with a sketch and handwritten instructions on what I wanted his cake to look like — a crumb coat only, no borders, with yellow suns around the top tier and a burnt orange half sun on the bottom tier. That’s it. We were supposed to pick it up Friday at 4:30pm, but instead received a call at 6pm on Thursday stating they wouldn’t be open at that time so we either had to pick it up that night or the next day at the exact time of his party. We elected to pick it up Thursday night, which I did around 8:15pm. This is the cake I received. I was willing to let go of the fact that my instructions about the icing were not followed AT ALL until I saw how the suns and the tiers look. The tiers are not even. The suns are not evenly spaced. The sun rays look like I drew them on instead of a professional. This cake is nothing like I asked for and now I’m trying to figure out how I am going to fix it before his birthday party because they aren’t even open for me to take it back."

"I called on a Wednesday evening to *hopefully* get an order in for 24 gluten-free cupcakes to pick up Saturday. I was super worried I waited too long (which was my own forgetfulness) but the 2 ladies I spoke to were extremely kind and more than happy to take my order. They were able to accommodate my lack of planning by making 24 stunning, gluten-free cupcakes, complete with 1 specially designed cupcake for the birthday girl, by 12pm on Saturday. Needless to say, I couldn't have asked for anything better but yet they somehow did make it better! Because these gluten-free cupcakes tasted NOTHING like ANY gluten-free cupcake I'd have eaten. They were moist, light, and fluffy. I have told many of my friends and family already about the awesomeness that is The Sweet Spot!!"
