"I am in town for the weekend and a friend recommended I come and look for a fascinator here for Keeneland so I did. When I asked the sales rep Eleanor if they had any she said they were in the back & she would have to go get them she asked did I still want them.. I told her yes,I did. She acted aggravated that I asked her to go get them. She also told me that I didn’t have to wear one for Keeneland.. I told her I knew this but I wanted to wear one. She acted extremely irritated the entire time my friend and I were in the store. The customer service she portrayed towards us made me feel like she thought we were “less than”. We were wearing sweat pants and sweat shirts because we were getting spray tans after.. but she clearly was judging us on our appearance. My family owns a business and thrives on custom service and this would be Unacceptable!! I will NOT be shopping here again and will NOT be recommending it to anyone! One bad apple can spoil the bunch."

"I had a fun shopping experience here. I liked the brands they carry...they have a few of my favorites. But when I got home and looked up the pants I bought, I paid $30 over suggested retail price. Found the same ones online at the manufacturer's website as well as *several* others, and nowhere else were they priced as high as at Monkee's. Lost my future business..."

"I love Monkee’s! It’s like shopping with a bunch of girlfriends. The shop girls make the store, they choose special items for me and always make me feel like a VIP! It’s such a wonderfully positive experience and you can tell that each item is hand chosen and of high quality!"

"Beautiful clothes. However, when you walk in no one greets you. They follow you around the store esp if you aren't dressed to the nines like you will steal. The owner is extremely snotty. What she and employees fail to recognize is work out clothes/no makeup doesn't mean you can afford her store. Absolutely 0 emotional intelligence. I make well over 6 figures so I can buy anything in the store I want but its assumed I don't fit her boutique customer mold. They could use a lesson in appearance doesn't determine wealth. I have ordered from out of state Monkees due to the rude owner and staff in this store. I certainly hope she doesn't set in church on Sunday mornings bc she has a lot to learn in customer service and humanity."
