"We found this new sushi restaurant recently, the food is fresh and tasty. For a local family sushi restaurant, the presentation of the food was surprisingly impressive. They have a family friendly menu that both kids and parents can enjoy. Very good place, it is now one of our new favorite restaurants."
"A New Japanese Restaurant that is backed by passion, top service, and attention to DETAIL! The staff greeted us with genuine warmth and kindness, especially on a rainy day. Walking in, the place was clean, organized, and handled with love and care. The attention to detail from utensils to the presentation of the food alone, makes trying this new restaurant worth it. To my knowledge, locally this has been the only Sushi restaurant that has offered Sashimi with their Bento Box! And for $16, what a steal. The Sashimi was fresh, and sweet. The teriyaki salmon had FLAVOR! It had the crunch, saltiness, and sweetness. Everything was just flavorful, and the presentation of it ALL knocked it out the park. We were able to meet the owner, and you can tell he is passionate about his work. Our service ended with a Rainy Day Special - Free Mochi for Dine-In customers, what a lovely surprise! Brilliant service, wonderful food, and in a great location with lots of parking. We will be back with our family and friends. I hope ya’ll give this restaurant a try! We truly had a great time!"
"A great new addition to the Sugar Land area. The people who run this place are very polite, and the prices are fairly reasonable. We ordered 3 items: the chiraishi, the flaming dragon roll, and the bento. Of the three, the bento ($17) was my personal favorite, as they allow for a wide variety of selection. We got the nigiri, tonkatsu, and the beef teriyaki. The beef was the highlight, as it was tender and well seasoned, and the nigiri was a welcome item you don't normally see in a bento. The chiraishi ($28) was the most expensive item, but it had a wide variety of fish, squid, and octopus. The bowl felt like really good quality, however I would probably not order it again, just out of preference. Lastly, the flaming dragon roll ($14) was packed with spicy tuna, but it was lacking in eel on the top and the shrimp inside were a bit small. I would not order it again. Overall, I plan to come back and try more of their nigiri and bento, which seems to be where the price to quality ratio shines. Leaving a five star review in hopes of good things to come."
"Wowowow. What a breath of fresh air suki sushi is. 1. The staff- 12/10 The owner is so kind and friendly and was gracious to give us a complimentary mochi dessert and a cute sushi keychain to thank us for checking them out as they’re still relatively new. 2. The food- 10/10 I’m pretty picky with sushi and get scared trying new places because you never know but this sushi was so bomb. The owner/chef created his own signature rolls and the one we got were chef’s kiss! So so scrumptious. My favorite roll was I think- the flaming dragon roll. So so so addictive! I would’ve eaten another one or two! 3. The ambiance- 10/10 It was nice and clean everything that you could ever ask for. I wish the best for Suki Sushi! Come and check them out! My friend and I will definitely be spreading the word for the fantastic experience, hospitality and top tier sushi. *Special note - the waitress we had was so sweet! I love her! The staff speak mandarin so it was nice to chat with her. She really made our time there special."
"Great sushi. They have a pretty good selection, and the roles are more fish than rice. Takoyaki was amazing, and there were 6 in one order. The karaage was a little disappointing as they fried it in tempura batter, which is just incorrect, and the sauce needs work. I would've also liked the tonkatsu to not be pounded so thin, and for it to be served with more sauce, but overall, pretty good experience. The service was incredible, and the owner even gave us some free, really good matcha ice cream at the end to celebrate 2 weeks of being open."
