"For all the years this was a First Source store, a homeowner could walk in with a model number and get the needed part on the retail side of the counter quickly and be on your way. It was awesome because you could get what you needed LOCALLY and be in and out. That all has gone downhill because now a retail customer has to deal with DALLAS and cannot get what they need while on-site AND must pay shipping for the pleasure of having to wait. The exterior doors are locked so they can hide from the public and not have to face the people who supported the previous business KNOWING the public will not accept the step backwards in customer service by locking us out. I despise the revamped way that business is being done presently because we have known better. What a slap in the face to loyal past retail customers who are now shut out."
"I placed an order through the phone and was quoted one amount. Then they called me to pick up the order and I checked my card, they charged me more than quoted. I refused to pick up the part, demanded the refund. They refunded first amount (that they quoted), stealing the difference. I called, and demanded refund. They promised, but 2 weeks already passed. They are crooks who hope that you don't check your card statement, and hope that by the time you do, the part is already in your appliance, no return possible and that you just simply go away, leaving them with the loot. Crooks!!! (and this is not an accidental overlook, I called 3 times and all 3 times they promised the full refund)."
"I have used this company in the past so, when my heating element went out on my dryer I returned. They checked the sensors and element I brought in and only one of the sensors was no good. I replaced both sensors even though I thought $50.00 was a little excessive. The sensors worked great but the Heating element burned out immediately. This time I did some research on pricing before returning to 1st source. I was told the part would be $57.90 + tax = $62.68. I told them no thank you and purchased the element online for $31.43 with 2 day shipping. I can see a convenience fee but doubling the price is ridiculous. I apologize to all of the people I have referred to this business over the years."
"Got what I needed for $19, but the same part from Sears is $7. And on top of that they charge an automatic $2.89 warranty. So I basically paid three times the normal cost so I wouldn't have to wait for the part to come in. Seems a little high to me. But other than that, experience was great."
"Came here to get a common part for my washer and I had to leave paying double what I could have gotten online. You may be wondering why their prices in-store are listed higher than what they offer on their own website, but I think I've come to understand their process. Online they list the part at a lower price (yet still higher than what you can find on other outlets), but once you checkout, with the price of their cheapest shipping option, what you paid in-store starts to finally look closer to what you would've paid online minus the shipping. Then of course there is that mandatory in-store warranty fee of roughly 10% added to your purchase. That 10% gives the opportunity of swapping that part out one time if it fails on you, it just kind of stinks that they don't tell you at the moment of purchase nor can you opt out of it... I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place, but if you're in a bind and really need the part to fix your appliance, this may be one of your few options locally."
