"This location is disgusting, dark, dirty and empty! Staff is RUDE and angry! They seem miserable! Will never go back! Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else! Burlington and Marshalls are top tier in comparison!"
"I visited Ross at Hedwig village, 9403 Katy freeway in Houston Texas today, Jan 3, 2024 approximately 6:20pm. I experienced the absolute worst customer service I have ever received, it was truly HORRIBLE. I am shocked that this sort of behavior is tolerated by management. The manager and cashier were extremely rude and unprofessional. This morning I purchased a blanket and once I returned home and opened the package, I notice a big hole in the item. I really liked the blanket and I had purchased the last one at the bunker hill location, so I decided to visit the Hedwig village location in hopes to exchange the blanket for the exact item, since the original location (bunker hill) was sold out. I informed the cashier that I had just purchased the blanket this morning and noticed a hole it, but that I would love to see if they had the item in stock so that I could exchange it. She grabbed my receipt and immediately said “you need to go back to wherever you bought this and return it there”. I was completely caught off guard by her direct rude attitude and that she was telling me I could not exchange the item at another “Ross” location. I asked why I would not be able to exchange the item at this location, because the other location was sold out, she replied “we don’t do that, you have to go back over there”. I asked her if I could please speak with the manager, so she left to go get the manager and then returns a few minutes later and states “She isn’t coming out to talk to you because she isn’t going to take the return, you have to take it back where you bought it from”! Again, shocked by the unprofessionalism of the cashier and the manager! I asked again if I could please speak to the manager and the cashier then proceeds to take my merchandise and throw it to another counter and then screams in my face “NEXT CUSTOMER”. I was literally blown away by this behavior! I then asked her where my merchandise was, and she completely ignored me and went on talking to the next customer. I then see my items over on another countertop by the door and I grabbed them and asked her for her name. She said her name was Sorest (I’m not sure if I’m spelling her name correctly), I asked her how to spell her name and she again yelled and said “ I DON’T HAVE TO SPELL MY NAME FOR YOU, I GAVE IT TO YOU. IF YOU WANT THE MANAGERS NAME ITS ZAKIA”. I am a retail district manager and run stores across southern US and I would be mortified if anyone left one of my stores feeling the way I felt leaving Ross today. I am totally disgusted by this experience, and I hope this isn’t acceptable to Ross, I would hope you stand behind customer service as a brand!"
"Wow. Stopped for sneakers. Had a security sensor tag. Asked if they could remove the tag so I could walk freely a few steps in the store. “ no ma’am we don’t take security tags off“ “ but you take the security tag off if I purchase the product and take it home try it on at home and if it doesn’t work out I can still bring it back for a return?” ???? BYE BYE ROSS!!! Dress for less —but they want you to spend your time/money driving back and forth… BYE"
"This Ross has been the worst I have ever visited. I will never go back, and here are my reasons: (see photos) - We are in Summer and there is no AC - The whole establishment is very dirty. - There are 7 cash registers and only 1 works, checkout lines can be long and since there is only 1 cashier, the wait to pay can be long. - You can look at the photos of the fitting rooms, it's even scary to try on any clothes. Everything is super dirty and full of cobwebs and dust. Terrible conditions of this establishment."
"12/29/21 HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! The service at this store has deteriorated to the point that it has become despicable to shop there. The manager is rude, evasive, security guard there respects no one, just simply a terrible store to shop at. It is dirty everywhere, trust me, been going there off and on for over 30 years. The most recent event happened on 12/29/21. I was there looking for a temporary chair for my office. We placed an order for Herman Miller office chairs, but due to pandemic, will be arriving in 4-6 weeks, therefore was looking for a temporary chair. I found this one as noted in the picture. As I was testing the chair, Ross security approached me and said I could not sit on it. I told her "excuse me." Maybe she was talking to the person behind me, because no one in their right mind will OFFEND a customer. I was wrong for she was talking to me. I said I am testing the chair before buying it for $99.99. The Ross security left and later I found out she told the store manager, have picture to show who she is. She then call shopping center security to come and harass me. The young security guard about 34 years old asked me if I was buying it, and I said yes, was testing it, for at my office, I spend 6-8 hours sitting down being in the real estate business. He then motioned to another person "behind" me and I realized the store manager, a Hispanic girl, was lurking around. I told her to come and talk to me about the problem she was having. She got scared and did not come around to speak to me. I was puzzled why would a store manager behave in that fashion. It sounds strange. Is this how Ross trains store managers to behave? Nevertheless, upon encountering these people, I WAS EXTREMELY OFFENDED ON HOW THEY TREATED ME LIKE A SHOPLIFTER READY TO STEAL A CHAIR. A photo is attached. I am deeply disappointed with the situation. I know Ross Stores do not compare to Marshall's or TJ Maxx, but really, do you have to harass people and make them feel they are shoplifting? Review the pictures of these people. They are the ones who are employed by Ross who have no training on how to handle a customer. The security guard said he will call the police. I told him go ahead if that is what he wants to do. I have NEVER had anyone tell me about calling the police. This is absurd. I will be filing a complaint with the district store manager and the security guard company of their behavior. This store is real bad. I will not shop there any more to be offended by these people! More emphasis should be placed on sales associate training on how to better treat the customer, and make them feel like family. You will never find these issues with T.J. Maxx or Marshall's. Ross may be the price leader on many things, but they fall short on customer service. They treat everyone very poorly!!!!!"
