Luby's 1727 Old Spanish Trail, Houston, TX 77054

"I ordered at the drive through the cashier Davondre didn't know the menu of what was available I asked for cranberry sauce with my dressing he said he didn't think they had cranberry sauce I'm guessing he didn't know what it was Lubys has never not had cranberry sauce they have dressing everyday, he didn't thank me at the window he just handed me the food , the food was luke warm remind you it's 11:00AM then after getting to work I start eating and find a long black hair on the chicken see attached picture I have contacted the guest service department with two emails , this has never happened before not sure if it's the guys hair from the window I didn't see a hair net on him but I'll update this post once or if I hear from Lubys. 02-14-2024 still waiting for a response from company"

"Great food, reasonably priced. The drive thru staff was extremely polite. We called in the order and was able to pick it up thru drive thru. Despite others being able to place an order thru drive thru, it was still a fairly quick process."

"The food tasted old with no flavor. The bread smelt like bread past its expiration date. People were nice but the food was beyond poor. The only thing worth eating was the mac and cheese. I event bought the perrier wanted and that was hot. They say you can judge a restaurant by the restrooms.."

"My first time ever eating at a Luby's I repeatedly stated this and wanted an extra side dish willing to pay more for it. Nobody would truly listen and or help me. Very humiliating and kind of embarrassing. I ordered the Monterey chicken which was delicious and very juicy considering it was breast meat. But the Ocra was super oily and left about an inch of oil in the bottom of the dish it was served in as you can see in pics and video. The Pasta salad had many great ingredients which as a cook myself had me amazed at how super bland it was. The key lime pie was on point and delicious. Over all after being unacknowledged nor getting everything I wanted to order and pushed along combined with the price I'll most likely never eat at a Luby's again. As all my reviews show I'm a foodie that frequents all ranges of restaurants from high class to fast food and usually generous with stars. The people in line that watched all this happen to me were way more kind, understanding, and helpful than the multiple employees I asked for help from going through the line."

"Made a U-Turn to drive into Luby’s for lunch before I go see my doctor. I have been missing their food for the past 4 years. This place is busy during lunch! You have people from different ages and work backgrounds lining up to see a huge array of Salads, Meats and Fish, sides like mashed potatoes to fried okras, and of course beautiful old fashion American deserts. It would not be complete without a sweet tea. The two cashiers on either side of the room help you pay and offer you cash for tip (if you pay by credit card). My meal of fish, 2 sides, 1 bread, and sweet tea was $15.03. My waitress is Shell. She is fast and welcoming. Shell got me my sweet tea as I sat by the windows to enjoy my food and observe the guests. It’s a bit different from my old OST Luby’s which was torn down over a decade ago. But the familiarity makes me happy! Cheers to you all! Have a wonderful meal!"
