"We stopped by on the way home from the zoo and had the golden tile and trout. The fish was cooked perfectly but, the shrimp was a bit overcooked. The potatoes were good, but we weren't sure we liked the sauce. For an appetizer, we had the calamari and octopus. It was good. The octopus and artichokes were our favorite. Traffic is horrendous in this area. Overall, it was a good experience and we would go back."

"I'm not going to lie, we went a little bit overboard at Pappadeauxs and I don't regret a thing. Every morsel of food that touched my mouth tasted divine. Everything. The drinks had us giggling, the food had us ready for a nap. The portions were huge, too big for two people so expect to have leftovers. The service was incredible, our waitress was actually kind enough to 1) stay late to take our table 2) give us recommendations on places to go in Houston while we were visiting. It was fantastic."

"Great place in Houston. We had the Red Snapper with crab and it tasted amazing. The Greek salad prepared at the table was fresh and delicious. We had reservations on New Years Eve and they were extremely busy and that impacted the service. Our server did a great job but he was spread thin in trying to cover all of his tables. Absolutely recommend this place!"

"1st time here and I have heard nothing but great things prior. Friday night and was seated right away in spite of busy crowd. Love the classic vintage look. Waitress was ok, ordered appetizers. The crab dip and alligator bites. Both were great and big portions. For dinner I had the Pasta Mardi Gras. Was AMAZING, very flavorful and generous on the shrimp and crawfish in the dish. Sister had the Stuffed shrimp which had jalapeño, cheese and was wrapped in bacon, Also AMAZING! Only thing I was not too fond of was the drink I ordered- purple voodoo. Definitely wasn’t tasty, sent it back with no issue. Overall great first experience, will definitely try again when in Houston."

"The place was packed when we got there, but we were immediately seated and service was reasonably fast. Food was mixed. The gumbo was great, and a bowl was enough for an entire meal. The Red Beans and Rice with Sausage and Grilled Shrimp was okay, but I was expecting something better than okay from Pappadeaux."
