"Not a bad Mom and Pop burger joint. The line was a few deep but it was moving as the orders were flying out. My burger was decent, a lil over charred on one side but meaty and hefty and decent overall."

"MUST VISIT PLACE FOR BURGERS The Nickelburger is not your ordinary burger. It's a quality ground chuck patty smoked, grilled on a grilled bun with plenty of pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and onions. It's juicy and delicious. The brisket is seasoned perfectly and it's worth the drive to the 5th ward just to visit The Nickel. The fries were well seasoned but they were soggy. The side orders were a small serving but I guess it's OK because it was priced reasonably for a plate lunch. The staff were friendly, professional and I felt like my business was appreciated. They have a seating area but it's more of a pickup to go type vibe. Definitely great food from a mom and pop type operation."

"I was impressed. It was hot outside but the screened patio had good fans that actually made it bearable and the seats, tables were all clean. So was the property and from what I could see also the inside. The young lady inside acknowledged my presence until she could get to me. I ordered the Hamburger which I almost walked from because of $8. price and it came with nothing else but right now prices are high everywhere so decided to stay and support. The gentleman who took my order was courteous and friendly explaining how it was made and I waited about 10 minutes for EXCELLENT well seasoned burger. Lettuce, onion all fresh on warm bun.
