"It's a laid-back home cooking type of restaurant, and the food is really good, especially for the area it's in. The breakfast items are very good and so are the lunch items. I haven't had anything that was bad there, but some items are just OK. For example, I like a biscuit that's crunchy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. Theirs are just soft, and the gravy is decent. It's not bad, but it's just ok biscuits and gravy. Most of the wait staff are very good and the only bad thing is they are only open for breakfast and lunch."

"Called last minute to let them know large family of 15 was coming. They opened the large party area and was able to accommodate. Very impressed with the food. Something for everyone, large plates seasoned well. Pictured, what's left of red beans and rice, fish (catfish) & waffles. Bestie ordered liver & onions"

"Continues to one be of the best diners on the Northside. If you are not familiar with Frank's Grill this is like a better spin off from Frank Han himself. Truly do believe you have to come here if you are in the north. Servers are super nice and give you that old fashioned diner greeting and feeling. I haven't had one bad thing here and there is so much to choose from! I recommend the secret menu that is bacon egg and cheese on a yeast roll. And the Cajun fries are some of the best I've had ever!! The hot chicken sandwich one of the best in Houston, and it's hot!"
