"Oh my goodness! We love coming here for our empanada fix! Most of the time we order take out, but we had free time so my husband and I decided to dine in. The restaurant is small, but cozy. They have Argentinian music playing and it almost feels like having lunch at a family member's house. They have a "mini" store selling imported products when you walk in. The service staff is lovely and attentive. We were given free bread as we sat down, keep in mind if you want more, they will charge you for it. It's not unlimited like Texas Roadhouse. We ordered cappuccinos, small sopa Pampa (each) and just lost it when we ordered the empanadas as we ordered several. We were definitely eating with our eyes! Our favorite is the beef empanada. The meat has so much flavor! The crust of the empanadas has the restaurant's name engraved on them, which I find to be unique. The sopa Pampa has potatoes, carrots, meat and garbanzo beans. I will admit the broth could use some more flavor, but overall it was good, especially dipping the bread in the broth. We will continue to be customers as this is a great establishment with a great staff."
"Excellent place!! Love the fettuccine Chicken Carbonara!! I requested to add Broccolis and they did it!! Delicious! One of my favorite places in Houston to eat."
"This is One of my favorite restaurants in the Houston area, the food is very delicious and fresh, the empanadas were super tasty, and the bread was very soft. Everything in this restaurant I'll recommended."
"It's my favorite restaurant. I have gone to in a long time . The atmosphere was very nice , it was small but had nice guitar music in the background. It was not loud. The service was very good. I had the Pampa salad , it was so good , and I had a beef empanada it was perfect , The flan was delicious, and I also shared the rum raisen ice cream. I am so sad I do not live in Houston, but I intend to tell everyone about this place and come back myself."
"My reason for finding this place was that I really wanted to try some Morcilla. Morcilla is a blood sausage. We did our research and picked this place because of its high ratings. The higher ratings that we read and the ones I’m giving are well deserved. I got the.Morcilla and chorizo sausage and a beef empanada. My wife got a salad and an empanada. I’ve never had morcilla and I didn’t know what to expect. It had the texture of Boudin and didn’t taste anything like you might imagine it to be. It was a nice mild flavored sausage. The empanadas were flaky, the meat well seasoned, and for less than three dollars it would be easy to go in and just get two or three for lunch. The empanadas were absolutely delicious. In the end, we got dessert which we splurged and ended up with two. We got flan and also their rum, raisin ice cream. The flan is made fresh in house, and I couldn’t have been happier with both choices. We will definitely be coming back. The wait staff was very pleasant and attentive even the owner visited with us. There is also a small market in the restaurant where you can pick up some of the specialty items. I was even able to pick up a package of morcilla that I am taking to a barbecue today. We very much look forward to coming back the next time we’re in Houston."
