"Came here to get some tacos for me and my roommate we were curious because we had heard good things about this place. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. But the food leaves a lot to be desired specially for the price. I got 4 tacos (2 barbacoa and 2 picadillo) and it ended up being about $25. Which wouldn’t be a big deal if the tacos were actually good. But the food is cooked as if they’re allergic to seasoning and the flour tortillas taste like they come out of a pack. If you love bland and overpriced food definitely come here. For a place that calls itself Tejas Taco House, it makes me wish these tacos were homeless."

"I recently visited Tejas Taco House, a popular breakfast taco place located in the heart of the city. I was in the area doing some work on my laptop and needed a place to recharge, so I decided to give Tejas Taco House a try. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff greeted me with a smile and were more than happy to let me charge my laptop while I enjoyed my meal. Speaking of the meal, the breakfast tacos at Tejas Taco House were simply delicious. I ordered a few different varieties and was blown away by the quality and flavor of each one. The ingredients were fresh and the tacos were cooked to perfection. Overall, I had a great experience at Tejas Taco House. Not only did they provide me with a convenient place to work and recharge, but they also served up some of the best breakfast tacos I've ever had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty meal in a friendly and welcoming environment."

"This is a excellent find! I’m a huge fan of authentic menudo. I’m constantly searching for restaurants that make the classic Mexican breakfast soup. I can’t count how times I’ve gone to a restaurant to try what I’ve heard was excellent menudo only to be disappointed. It was either to greasy or to red or no hominy corn or to little tripe and mostly liquid. This menudo was almost perfect (needs pigs feet) for perfect. Plenty of hominy & meat perfectly seasoned. My girlfriend had the beef fajitas with charro beans & rice. The fajitas were cooked perfectly, tender with excellent seasoning. The beans and rice tasted like Mama used to make. We loved the homemade flour tortillas. Tejas doesn’t have a huge menu but that just means they know what they’re customers like and they concentrate on doing what they offer the best possible way with a great price point. I highly recommend Tejas Taco House. We’ll definitely be going back."

"Cozy, welcoming, and delicious Mexican restaurant in the Houston Chinatown area. Lots of seating available, walk up ordering, and lots of options to choose from. I tried breakfast tacos, as well as their menudo, and it was great. Pricer compared to what is typical for this kind of food, but great portions, and the service is extremely nice. Definitely a place to come back and try other dishes."
