"I will like to thank Rosie and her crew for doing a great job on my Lincoln Navigator. I took it in for tire advisory and suspension leaning. Rosie and Kevin addressed my needs and concerns. They went over my options for tires and what were best suitable for my truck. I also had a leaking air bag which was causing the lean. Kevin reach out to different distributors and located the part. Rosie had the parts picked up and had the suspension kit and tires installed the next day. They were very prompt, efficient and attentive to making sure I was updated on the status of my truck. The pricing is more than fair. Rosie and her team are very professional. I will definitely have them service all of my vehicles when needed."
"Fast and friendly service. I had 4 tires replaced and had requested an alignment. Rather than performing the alignment, they informed me of an issue that would negate the effectiveness of the alignment. They could have done it and charged me anyway, but they were honest instead and recommended I have the other repairs done first without pressuring me for the additional repairs."
"Tell me how can you be a mechanic and not know how To work on a standard vehicle, Got turned Down from the shop because their mechanics didn’t know how to work on a standard vehicle. They suggested I come back another day. I was actually bringing it back for work that they have done on my vehicle and created another issue for me by their work."
"Made an appointment for 4 new tires recommended by Pep Boys website for my vehicle and to have an alignment done. Was told the day of the appointment that the guy who does alignments wouldn't be available until next week. Only the tires were put on the car. Driving felt bumpy, noisy and lije the wheels were not on right. The original manufacturer's tires didn't do this. Also attempted to overcharge me until I showed the invoice from the Pep Boys website. So I booked another appointment for next week. Alignment was done now my car now makes reving noises and has a lot of vibration. I know its not the tires because over 2,000+ people gave them a really positive review. And something else that was weird was a small hand print the size of a child was at the bottom of my driver's side door. I went and immediately had the car washed because it was filthy after I had it detailed the week before the first appointment. Took the car back today to balance the tires. Was not called to come pick up the vehicle. Was told by Pep Boys person the front passenger side tire axel was "slightly" bent so they balanced the tires and swapped front passenger tire to the back. How do you fix an axel by switching tires? Said I hit something between getting new tires to today. I said no I did not. There is no damage to my car. Now the vibration is gone but I hear a "whoo whoo" sound when I drive. Biggest nightmare ever getting new tires!!! Went back to Pep Boys about the new noise. They said my brake pad was hitting something. Every time I take my car to Pep Boys it gets worse."
"Brought my new car in to pep boys because they give a free tire rotation, are conveniently located next to Denny’s to get breakfast, and have great coupons on their website in addition to supporting our military with a 10 percent discount. When I got in my car I noticed that my sticker said they used 5w30 oil despite my manufacturer recommended 5w20. I spoke to the tech and he casually told me that he was out of 5w20 so decided to use 5w30. To me doing this without my consent was completely unprofessional. I was concerned about this because my owners manual says using the incorrect oil can void the warranty. So I called and ask that they fix it. They initially acted like nothing was wrong, but were willing to fix it at my request. When I brought it back - they didn't apologize, they quickly just fixed it - unclear if they changed the filter again. And I paid for a full synehtic penzoil change - but they used some oil called proline - which appears to be their house brand. Overall I’d say they need to work on their customer service, and more importantly as a consumer I’ve lost faith that they can reliable service my vehicle according to manufacturer standards. I’d recommend that people just bring their car to the actual dealership and have it serviced by a mechanic. It’s worth the cost for the piece of mind you’ll have. Extremely disappointed with my experience."
