Fred's Fish Fry

"Wow! Its been a very long time since we have gone to a Freds Fish Fry place. We moved to a small town and we dont have any in our area. I can see why some have closed their doors. Took my grandson for his first time which I thought would be a treat from what I could remember. The food was over cooked and rubbery which could only be that it was old and had been sitting for a bit before reheating. The place was so run down and dirty! Broken and torn seating. Cant help but feel sorry for the JohnJay students that come in to eat there. The customer service was ok but their behavior towards each other was bad! Yelling and hitting each other while we ate was not a pleasant experience. I write this review in hopes to warn others and hoping someone would care enough to improve the quality of the food that is being served. Lets ALL Make a difference!!!"

"Couldn’t even finish eating my 3ct fish, ate part of one realizing it tasted weird, the batter wasn’t fully cooked and was doughy. Skin of fish was fine but in between the actual fish and skin it was completely dough"

"Drive thru order. Lady working the window was incredibly rude. Asking basic questions like what is the size difference on extra tartar sauce got me a sarcastic "well, one is bigger and the other is smaller!" great answer, thanks! maybe try actually listing the ounces next time though. Didn't even say the generic "have a nice day" or just a "you're welcome" even when I said thank you. Like, I understand if you've a long day, but don't take it out on me lol I work retail, it's not that hard to be nice with a customer that wasn't even rude first! At least the food was decent lol But I definitely won't be coming back to this location."
