"I ordered the 1 meat plate (chicken) and my sides were collards and fried okra. Absolutely delicious. Well seasoned, SUPER crispy (passed the "scrape" test) and juicy. I typically only eat wings and legs but forgot to request these. But it didn't matter because I devoured that chicken thigh with no problem, lol. Cornbread was good and I generally prefer more tart lemonade but no complaints about what I was served. And the cashier was an absolute SWEETHEART. I recommend and plan to return in the near future."

"I'm from Indiana, ive been in South Texas almost 2 yrs, I come to San Antonio to get my hair done and try to find a new spot each time with home-cooked food. This little spot hit the nail on the head. Immediately greeted with a smile, food was hot, fresh, great portions, with an unexpected side of cornbread. I haven't had fish this good since i left home. I will be back every time I'm in SA!!! I got a full filet, side of Mac, greens, a drink, and cornbread for $12. You can't beat that! The young lady who was at the window has a phenomenal smile and personality 5 outta 5 stars!!!!"

"I ordered uber eats and when i got the bag something smelled funny. I opened the food inspecting things and when i got to the porkchop that was the culprit. What they sent out for me to eat was not properly cooked. I had gotten a two meat plate so i also had a piece of fish and that unfortunately was also not cooked properly either."

"We are in town visiting and saw this place come up on the map. WOW we are so glad we stopped in. They are drive thru only no dine in option and the woman taking orders was so nice. We got the 2 meat plate with fish and a pork chop, the fish plate, Mac and cheese, greens, candied yams, peach cobbler and banana pudding. And every thing was absolutely delicious. We cleaned our plates. It all tasted home made Honestly we will probably be eating here again before we leave. 10/10 must try this place!!"

"I've been meaning to stop by and give it a try for a while and can finally confirm that it is truly worth the wait. My meal was beyond excellent. The chicken was seasoned and tasty and reminded me of how it used to be growing up. The mac and cheese was also delicious. There is very little about my meal that wasn't, but if I had to pick out one item of improvement, it would be the banana pudding. Now it's better than most other offerings but not on par with the rest of the items. You will not be disappointed"
