"We stopped for cake and coffee but were disappointed in the cake. It was very dry and cold as though it was being kept for quite a while in the refrigerator. A disappointment for sure. We love Jim's and eat there about three times a week. The cake is normally delicious!"

"OK, so Jim's is an institution in San Antonio. Everyone knows it and can count on having something for everyone here. Driving in from Houston, we stopped in mid afternoon to this location prior to arriving at the hotel for a couple of days of leisure in beautiful San Antonio. Not too busy, we were greeted with friendly staff welcoming us and inviting us to sit anywhere we chose. We were approached by Stephanie after just a few moments. She was warm and friendly and treated us like family. Brought our drinks quickly, was knowledgeable of the menu and as she brought the table in front of ours her order, she quickly let out table know what it was she had ordered. I had already been eyeing that particular selection so at that point I am sold. What she brought to the table was a literal work of art. If you haven't considered ordering the Chicken Salad Plate, reconsider. It is absolutely perfect. IT was exactly what I wanted and her presentation was phenomenal. So phenomenal in fact that we ordered it to go a couple of days later as we were headed out of town. A large serving of their gorgeous chicken salad with celery and pineapples, cold cottage cheese, peach half, pineapple ring, grapes, cantaloupe, strawberries and bananas. Just perfect I tell ya. Stephanie once again exceeded all expectations with her attention to detail, careful preparation and a genuine love for her job. She is truly an asset to Jim's and they are fortunate to have her. She is the kind of employee that companies pray for. I certainly hope the manager at this location takes note of her dedication of doing a great job. We did steakhouses and seafood restaurants for our other dining options but the waitstaff couldn't match Stephanie's warmth or gumption to do a great job. I literally can't wait for my next trip to San Antonio so I can stop in and have her prepare this salad plate for me again. Thank you Jim's and Stephanie..."

"Very good food. Very reasonable prices. Generous portions. Friendly staff. It was our first time there, I noticed staff addressing people by their first names as they walked in. Moderate lunch crowd and speedy service. Jim's original burger was the classic American burger. Spaghetti wasn't covered with a cheap sugary sauce. The coffee was how coffee should be."

"Baby listen to ME. I got fish & shrimp plate. So did my bff. Side of onion rings, and a small tortilla soup (never had it) but heard great things from here. Baby my food so Dam good. Fonz on my food, Stephanie our waitress, Justice, snd Chasity her back ups, and James the mgr. Thank yall so much. Our food was so gotdam good. The service was excellent. Conversation was great too. My SOUP, it so good, lil spice, with chicken, fresh tortilla strips. Definitely a must have."

"I absolutely love this place drove to the one on Hildebrand closes early then drove to the Blanco location was closed finally made it to this Jim's it was a little packed but well worth the wait I promise. The manager was in the back helping the cooks knock out all the orders her name is Kim she was short staffed but got us all taken care of. My Hats off to her she's a great Manager and knows how to run an Establishment. Can never go wrong with a burger the breakfast is amazing but my all time favorite is the fried mushrooms absolutely devine."
