"We love restaurants that have soul, and this place has it! It quickly won us over when we discovered it was named after the owner’s grandmother. The design and decor is absolutely beautiful, and will leave you tempted to put wallpaper throughout your home. The food was delicious! We highly recommend the cornbread. It’s some of the best we have ever had! There are more menu items that we want to return to try such as their fried chicken and pot pie, but we really enjoyed the steak frites! It was cooked perfectly."

"Finally went for lunch with my gals! Our lovely server was the best part of this restaurant experience. She was knowledgeable and personable. Everyone working were amazing. The design of the space is very eclectic and unique, which I enjoyed. However, I wouldn’t go back due to the underwhelming food at a high price. We all split the okra as an appetizer and agreed it was under salted, mushy, and oddly lukewarm. The shrimp poboy was just okay, not worth $18. We all felt similarly about the gumbo."

"The restaurant was a lovely space. The atmosphere was amazing and so was the customer service. The only cons were a couple of the dishes were slightly cold or at room temperature. Also our escargot took forever to come out but the waitress removed it from our tab. I would highly recommend the fried chicken! I give this place an 8.5 out of 10. I highly recommend and would revisit again. Perfect for date night."
