Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

"This restaurant is a fine choice for those who families can't compromise where they want to eat because they have an amazing variety of all kinds of food including a salad bar and dessert bar. The food is always fresh and fully stocked. Another bonus to this buffet dining is they have a section of the buffet line that will serve you a steak made with your likings which is prepared prepared tby their chef right in front of you at no extra charge however tips are greatly appreciated . The food is good and always fresh. For those who may not know they also serve breakfast although I haven't had the chance to go and try it out. This casual buffet dining is exceptionally clean and very spacious. The staff is friendly and gives prompt service refilling your beverages amongst other needs you may have. The prices are reasonable and do offer senior discounts as well as child prices. They have a large well lit parking lot which makes parking easier and safer. So give them a try and don't forget to take advantage of their discounts if they apply."

"The food was okay and the servers too. There are a few things that this Golden Corral can do better on: I have MS disability and can do things independently, however, I went up to ask for well done meat and the chef didn't understand me (so I thought) she gave me rare meat after repeatedly asking for well done. My server/waitress was more understanding she had to get my steak for me. I don't mind having to repeat myself but when given the wrong cooked food it's just annoying. Then I moved over to ask for 2 slices of ham and a slice of brisket the kitchen manager (the one in green shirt in the picture below) gave me one slice each full of fat and when I asked for another slice he just said "thank you and walked away" like basically your done which is very rude and disrespectful. It's not like I was begging for free food I did pay to come eat not to be treated like crap (excuse the language). He seemed this way with everyone he didn't know those he did like WOW he was nice and smiling. This establishment could use some communication & business etiquette on how to treat all customers. We had dessert but most of it was hard and if it wasn't hard it was super sweet like not diabetic friendly. Almost everything had onions, most Golden Corral's have it as an add on I am allergic to onions so my food options were very limited. If I was to come back it's only if I really really had to I would hope I get the same server she made a crappy dinner night not seem so bad by being helpful especially since we traveled from Corpus Christi to just eat here (which is the only reason service got 2 stars). The way some treats you during interaction plays a role on how you enjoy the rest of your night and meal. Treat others how you want to be treated there is no reason for someone to be disrespected and treated unfairly regardless of the situation. Never again at this Golden Corral until they get some training cause again majority of the staff is rude and it's okay with the managers as they are the same. This is not a friendly place to eat. This is the Golden Corral in San Antonio TX down Military Drive on the Southside."
