"I cane in for a spare of the moment dinner with my family of 12. It was very busy. Super swamped. It seemed like they were short handed. …. BUT …. Vania- the cashier was handling everything calmly !! Cashiering. Placing orders , answering phones , you name it. Everything except the cooking. Thank you to her for taking care of my family. My sons, their wives and I worked all day. I decided to get my family and grandkids together and drive across town from Converse to The Potranco location to meet up. I am thankful for her calmness, patience and kindness not just to us but everyone. Vania - you ROCK little lady. Julia"

"We visited Babes Old Fashioned Food in search of a quick and satisfying meal but were met with a series of disappointments. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a disheartening sight: numerous empty tables, all neglected and littered with trash, had not been bussed. We found ourselves having to request a table to be cleared and cleaned before we could be seated. Unfortunately, the cleaning was hastily done with a soggy, foul-smelling rag, leaving the table surface unpleasantly wet. The ketchup bottles at our table were sticky and visibly unclean, adding to our discomfort. The open kitchen provided a view of the cooks handling food without gloves, visibly overwhelmed by the volume of orders. Their frustration was palpable, manifesting in rude and impatient responses to patrons inquiring about the long waits. For us, the wait extended to an hour, a delay that was neither explained nor apologized for. When our food finally arrived, it was, at best, average and did nothing to salvage our already tarnished experience. Given the combination of poor hygiene, subpar service, and mediocre food, we've decided it best not to return. For those considering Babes Old Fashioned Food for a quick bite, you might find better experiences elsewhere."

"Pretty good good. But for me it was just too salty. I ordered the spicy tenders, they had a good flavor but the buffalo sauce they used was salted and then the ranch they served with it made it way too salty to enjoy. The other food at the table seemed delicious but if your watching ur salt don’t get the spicy tenders."

"We arrived right at lunch and was able to order with no wait. The burgers are huge! I ordered the double cheese burger with rings and fries. She ordered the Guacamole burger and fried mushrooms. Burger come with mayo, onion, pickle, tomato, and lettuce. Burgers are great! The fries,rings, and mushrooms were all very good!"
