Toscana's Bar & Italian Grill

"The place I wanted to go to was closed so I decided to check out this place since it was open and next door. When I went in it was only two other people in there, which is to be expected during the time of day I went. The bring you out A piece of bread with marinara sauce on the side the bread was seasoned good, but it was burnt around the edges. (Not a big deal) I ordered the 3 pasta sampler. When I received my food the presentation was great. I took my first bite it was ice cold (frozen like) in the middle. I’ve been moved onto the lasagna thinking it was a fluke. The ricotta cheese was I cold. I told the waitress and demonstrated with my fork the frozen pasta and let her feel the ice cold ricotta cheese. She then sent out another young lady in which I explained the situation. She proceeded to tell me “ it can’t be frozen we make everything fresh nothing is frozen. She proceeds to say the ricotta cheese is naturally cold, and then asked if I would like her to remake it. Being that I love pastas, I know that nothing in Lasagna, manicotti or oven pasta period should ever be cold. I was all good with the remake mistakes happen. However, while waiting for my remake of my food I had a visitor on my table. It was a roach. It was at that point I canceled my order and left. The best thing about this place is the staff. Customer service was great. Sorry to say that was my first and last time here. I’ll stick to my original spot Joe’s Pizza right up the street. Thanks but no thanks."

"Me and my mom came here for a birthday dinner and they did not disappoint! The atmosphere was relaxing, food came out on time, the waitress was very friendly, and we got complimentary bread rolls. I really enjoyed the ravioli and my mom really liked her chicken Alfredo. Only wish that we could pay at the table and leave instead of the bar. It was no issue but it would have been nice. In conclusion, I highly recommend this establishment for Italian food!"

"Editing to reduce to 3 stars. We have been back a few times. Quality is really inconsistent. Most recently, I was served a dry salad that looked much more sparse than the one I posted in my review, warm white wine, and the kids had Sprite that was described as "house Sprite" but was clearly only carbonated water. When I asked about the wine, I was told they didn't have a cold bottle, so they pulled one from the shelf (and just assumed I'd be okay with warm white wine, I guess.) Service is pleasant, but not super savvy. What a great addition to the neighborhood! I was tired of cooking all week and just wanted a break, so this was a lovely find! Food was great, service was awesome. The calamari was slightly overdone, but that's the only food critique I have. Everything tasted fantastic! Even my kiddos said to give this place 5 stars. The only other critique I have is that the toilet paper dispenser is hella annoying. The place was pretty empty, but I betchya it won't be for long!"

"Great spot for lunch. Only two doors down from my nail salon. Bonus points for convenience as if it was needed. Tasty food and quick service. It was quiet this Saturday but it won’t be for long as I agree with others reviews I read before dining. I will be back with the rest of my family. I have to test out Italian restaurants before I bring my husband since he is Italian and has eaten great food his entire life. I think he will love it. Reasonable prices too. Two adults ate for about $30 total."
