Yichiban Buffet

"Our family used to eat there often. There are two servers there, one is a taller lady who is talkative and likes to ask people for their privacy, and the other is a short lady who is very hardworking, but we always tip no matter who offered service to us. My baby is one year old. She has good eating habits and never throws away food. This time she spilled the soup. But she didn't mean it, she was just learning how to use the cup, and there was only a little bit of soup in the cup, and we apologized. The tall lady started blaming a baby, she complained with some bad words that we were making her cleaning difficult and we had to reach out to her manager. We explained to the manager and paid for the cup even though my baby didn’t break it. But the tall server intensified her verbal attacks on us. We all speak Chinese, I can fully understand the malice in her language and I am pretty sure that she did not dare to attack someone who only spoke English. She just wanted to bully Chinese. I will never go back again. I am ashamed of her."

"Big SURPRISE!! That restaurant serve crispy barbecue pork, Sichuan spicy fish and juicy chicken. The only one buffet restaurant that served these tasty and expensive dishes. U should try this restaurant, don’t miss it!!"

"************************************************* I went by today to get food for me and my coworkers on lunch and what an embarrassment that I had to deal with from my co-workers. Although I assumed I went early enough and the food was fresh, to my surprise it wasn’t! I guess they are putting out food they had the day before which was very unpleasant to eat. It was tasteless, hard/stale and troubling to try and chew. My coworkers nor I will ever be going here again. Disgusting!!! I even called to return the food and was told that TO Go was final sale, I wonder why that is. What a waste of $50, I should had just gone to Salad & Go like I agreed before leaving the office. Don’t waste your money!!!"

"All these less-than-5 ratings come from people who don't seem to understand how open buffets work! This is the best Chinese open buffet place I've been to in both Canada and the US (I'll admit though this is the only one I've been to in the US). Very big selection, delicious food, and we only paid $27 for lunch for 2 people! 2 people dining all you can eat (AYCE) with a big variety of foods + dessert, now that's what I call a huuugggeeee portion! The sushi was excellent but not much variety, so don't go there if you're only after sushi. Also, food freshness depends on how busy the place is, duh!"
