"Don't Go Here For an Oil Change If You Ever Change Your Own Oil. They're friendly, fast, reasonably priced and have very knowledgeable techs. My review is specifically with regard to oil changes. There are some dealers that believe that putting 1000 lb-ft of torque on an oil filter makes it work better; Star Ford is one of them. If you only ever have dealers change your oil, then this is someone else's problem, but if you ever do it yourself, then you're in for a treat if you're removing an oil filter that Star installed. My latest battle with a Star installed filter involved a strap wrench, a giant pair of channel lock pliers and finally a huge screwdriver and hammer. I finally gave up when I realized that I was destroying the filter without actually rotating it. There is no reason to apply this much torque to a hand tight oil filter, and you're better served going to a quickie lube than paying extra to these folks. Don't pay a dealer extra to make trouble for you."
