"Very nice park! My main reason for visiting was the disc gold course which is really nice! If you happen to be in the area or live in the area and have your hand dandy disc bag with you definitely worth stopping in and cranking out some shots! Hope you enjoy!"
"Don't wear nice shoes if you go there to disc golf. There's enough Canadian geese there to start an army of Canadian geese. But the course is pretty fun. I only wish on whole 14 they would open up the gap just a little bit more."
"One of the joys of living in Fort Wayne is the range of parks and public places. Swinney is one of the more versatile - great walking and running trails, lovely scenery, a frisbee golf course and often there are interesting folk fishing in the lake. I am more sedate - I take my folding chair and a book, find a deserted spot with a view of the geese and have a couple of quiet hours to read and smoke a cigar. Sometimes I only see two or three people and it is a great blessing."
"Swinney Park is enormous! Numerous sports complex sections, including a golf course, is pet-friendly which is a huge plus. This place is bustling on a sunny day but does have lots of parking."
"Nice park with trails connecting to other parks nearby. We found a turtle that had made its way out of the river to the main road. It’s a pretty walk in the spring and has good shade in the summer. Use insect repellent in the evenings as there can be be mosquitos. There’s a playground for children. Also a Japanese Ramada with tables for a gathering or to enjoy a picnic. Ultimate frisbee groups frequent this park, cyclists & fitness enthusiasts. Water fountain & bathroom facilities available too."
