"Great place to walk and observe herons, flowers, occasional muskrat."
"This is a 2 mile loop mainly flat that shows so much beauty. A lot of animal activity. You also get a section in the Hawthorn park woods. A lot of fun…. Except the goose poop"
"I really enjoy going to J I Case wetlands Nature preserve there are many different types of birds including waterfowl There are also hiking trails that lead into Hawthorne Park on one side and on the other leads into Rose-Hulman institute of technology. People tend to be friendly and its very well maintained hiking trails \ walking paths are a bonus."
"This is hands down my favorite place in Terre Haute. As a wildlife photographer, I never expected to be able to get great photos 10 minutes from my house. I kayak out here very often and almost always walk away with some fantastic photos. I often see muskrats, turtles, the occasional beaver, eagles, and a large amount of water birds. I saw an otter once, but have not since. This is a great place to kayak or even just walk around."
"So beautiful. You'll see all kinds of wildlife. You would not eclectic a place as amazing as this to be in Terre Haute. Especially since it's free!"
