"One of the most beautiful cemeteries in the state of Maine. Well kept grounds and a peaceful walk. On a side note - I did see a ghost there in my youth, just outside the church, as I was on my walk out of the cemetery. Not that anyone would believe me without some proof, but I saw what I saw."
"beautiful to walk around and there are ducks and turtles in the pond which is amazing. It is very nice and worth a visit."
"Great Location for Bird Watching! Dogs are NOT allowed off leash. I've been visiting this Cemetery for years now. The grounds keepers are very nice and look out for the visitors. The staff in the office are always nice and professional. In the Spring this place is loaded with many types of Warblers. During Spring through Fall this beautiful Victorian Cemetery is home to many types of Migratory Birds. Owls, Herons, Egrets, Hawks, Crows, many types of Ducks and song birds. Many small mammals live there as well. The grounds are always well kept and groomed. There are many tiers of this Cemetery and the rolling grassy hills have everything from simple graves all the way up to mausoleums. The winding narrow roads are fascinatingly inviting to the pond. You can see a wingless, headless angel. (there has to be a story there) and many ancient old growth trees. I love this place!"
"A lot of history in this place .Good place for hiking and bike rides. Word of advice, be really careful when you walking around the stones some of them are from the 1800's and are really fragile."
"Beautiful cemetery and very well taken care of. There are ponds in the back with ducks and geese as well as turtles. There are plenty of squirrels, different kinds of birds, and other wildlife. The only problem is that the cemetery is so big, I got lost and couldn't find my way out during my first visit there."
