"Nice bit of information to read at the entrance. Visited in mid fall. Not a soul in sight. Very nice quiet place to walk around and enjoy."
"A lovely little spot, quiet and out of the way. We sat on the rocks at the shore, as well as visited the fort. The place has an interesting history, that you can read there. It's fascinating to be in an old fort like that, amazingly sturdy construction, and you can almost feel the significance of the place."
"Beautiful spot with history. Built in 1808-1809. Nice picnic area or quick walk to get out and stretch your legs."
"Very well preserved Fort that was built around 1802 and used during the War of 1812. The structure was probably made out of the timber that surrounds the area. You can see how huge the support beams are. They built it in the the traditional Post and Beam technique. Check the photos out."
"There's not a lot to see, but it is a beautiful area none the less. We experienced one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL orange sunsets. The camera couldn't capture how orange unfortunately. A cute couple decided to picnic on the rocks there. I can totally understand why!"
