"They had my items incorrectly priced. This was extremely frustrating. The cashier had to do a price check and then call a manager to do the price adjustment. After waiting for an eternity, no one even said, "Sorry for the inconvenience.""
"Just your basic Michael's. They have self checkout now, which I enjoy. The isles are crowded but I've yet to go to a Michael's that wasn't."
"Got a lot of great items! Unfortunately, their parking has greatly diminished since their move from the other spot closer to the Dierbergs. This was my first time in since then. And parking was a pain. Other than that, the stor was nice. Not sure it was any larger as I didn't go through the entire space."
"Michael's is one of my favorite places to go to get crafting items. I usually shop online and do the pickup in the store. Recently, I purchased 2 t-shirts (safety pink). When the associate brought the order to me, I realized that I didn't like the color. I went in and returned one since the other shirt was for someone else. It's true the associate said she could refund me, and then I could purchase the new color. But, the price was different. After discussing it with her, she called a manager, and she did a price override. I went in today to return the other one, and the manager, Michelle, said she couldn't do it and that the other employee shouldn't have and she'll have a conversation with her. I asked her to do a no receipt return and exchange it that way. She said she couldn't because of the price I paid. I told her she only knows because I told her. I could have just come in and said I didn't have a receipt, but I didn't want to be deceitful. I've exchanged these shirts before with no receipt, which is why I knew it could be done. She refused. I went outside called customer service. He said to keep the shirt, and he refunded me for both of the shirts and gave me a $5 gift card. I went back in to get the shirt and had to wait in line. There was a different associate checking customers out. A lady came in and told her she didn't have her receipt. She said I could do a no receipt return. When she scanned the item, that item wasn't purchased there. Isn't that interesting. When I got up there I asked about it. And she said yes we do them. The only difference was that the lady in front of me was not African American, and the cashier was. The cashiers that waited on me, Michelle and Laura(I think), were not African American, and I was. I can't believe that people are still being discriminated against at these stores. If it wasn't a race issue, then why not exchange it when you do this all the time. I had to raise my voice in the store, people are looking at me. And, I'm not doing anything, but I'm trying to get a $5 t-shirt. It was totally ridiculous. I've worked as a retail manager for years. I would have never treated my customers like that."
"the bathrooms were marked as cleaned and checked that day and they clearly were not. no toilet paper in either stall and the paper towels were out as well. not expecting 5 star but I know it can be better."
