"Last year's adventures with Jackson's included renovating my parent's 1970s meets 1990s bathroom as well as replacing four doors (see last year's star-studded Google review for more info). New summer, different house, new adventure. Pop a squat, grab some snacks, and delve into my newest adventure with Jackson's. Since Jackson's/Lori K Bath did such an excellent job at my parent's house, when our front door/screen door needed replaced, we knew immediately who to come to our rescue. We sat down with Brandon, and he took us through the whole process, helping us to narrow down the exact door we wanted to replace our builder's grade chintzy, drafty, and ugly front door. Flash forward to June as Jackson's pulled up to my house, ready for a fresh adventure. My front door was not as perilous as my parent's front door--which almost fell in on the crew--but it was an arduous task nonetheless. All three crew members tackled this task with precision and perfection. They spent four hours making sure everything was immaculate. Excellent work ethic, attitude, aptitude. No way would my husband and I put in a door ourselves--we prefer to leave that to the professionals. The doors. Ahhhh, the doors. We ordered a storm and main door combo. We chose Pro Via (custom-made in the USA!) aluminum in Tudor Brown with antique bronze fixtures. Yes, we paid a ransom's fee for these, but the quality blows away the dollars spent. The storm door is heavy, not a paltry, trashy shell. And the door has a double dead bolt. Any robber would look at that lock and pass on to the next house. Snug fit, not a crease of light perforates any corner of the frame. The main door is massively heavy, as in Indiana Jones on his best day could not fenagle this door. The best feature? The locks. Brinks. MacGyver could not pick this lock even if he had lock-picking tools instead of a paper clip and gum wrappers. The second best feature? The door handle. Push or pull or turn to enter or exit. Whoa. (Best Bill and Ted's voice there.) I cannot sing the praises of Jackson's Home Improvement enough. Yes, the products are pricey, but they are top quality and made in America. The installation crew is top-notch. A pricey adventure but well worth the thrills."
