"Skilled teachers, most of whom create environment for a lot of levels. My kids and I came for years with good experiences. A couple of great summer camps and classes several years ago, but more recently, an awful, intensely boring summer camp sprinkled with exclusion and bullying and an oblivious teacher. Recent administration changes have really impacted the vibe. It's honestly fairly hostile now and we've dropped out - hostility and poor communication on the front end (DSS) is way too stressful. There are a lot of great artists in the city, but not all belong in all positions. I hope they will think more carefully about who's interfacing with the public and the tone or level of professionalism that they want to present."

"I'm sad that I have to write this review of Lillstreet. I tested positive for Covid as a new session 5 week session was starting. I had just completed my first ever art session and was excited for a new session. I immediately reached out to the Lillstreet to ask about their policy. They said you can return to class when you test negative or they will issue a studio credit. I was still testing positive for class the following week and requested a studio credit. Weeks went by and they requested a picture of my positive Covid test, I sent a picture of the test. Then they wanted more pictures of more positive tests, that I didn't have at the time as I was not taking pictures of every test that I took, only what my job required to submit for return to office. Then Tikal Rivera, Director of Student Services, replied informed me that they would not offer a studio credit because I didn't follow the policy, despite me following all of the instructions that were provided to me when I shared the news of the positive test. I really wanted to become part of the Lillstreet community and it's frustrating that I have to come here to warn others of how they treat students."

"I took two short classes here and really enjoyed both. The classrooms were spacious, with nice light, so a bit chilly, since it is in a charming old building. My teachers were both very nice and willing to help and answer questions. My fellow classmates were equally friendly, and I would return if I lived a bit closer, maybe when it warms up because I am very interested in future classes."

"I love this place! I took John Fleck’s three week intro to acrylics class. I learned so much and it was an awesome experience. John is a great teacher. I also did a couples/friends pottery class this past Friday. Lizzie and Meagan were our instructors. Throwing pots is so much harder than it looks but Lizzie and Meagan were patient and funny. I wanted to get down on myself for not being an expert immediately but they were so kind and encouraging. TLDR: This place is awesome and the instructors are incredible."

"I took First-time Bookbinding recently and had a great time. The instructor was really great and the classroom was well supplied. Overall there's a really fun, creative feel."
