My custom mat didnt come in time for an art show I was in, and she and her co-worker were able to get me in, get my piece framed beautifully and send me on my way to the show (that night!) in only 2 hours. "The lady that looks 45-60 years old with the orangish bleach blonde hair a little longer than shoulder length was extremely rude to me during curbside pickup. I had placed two separate orders and when I hit the “on my way button” to pick up the order someone must have accidentally hit that I picked up the order right away…no big deal at all, technical difficulties happen all the time. So I go to the curbside pickup having both notifications that my orders were ready but one was already picked up, so I decided to call and explain the situation. This lady answered and was extremely rude from the start and interrupted me the moment I said “hi I’m here to pick up two orders for curbside for so and so” and told me she was still packing my order even though I had both email confirmations that they were ready for pick up and wouldn’t listen to my story about both orders at all and only brought out one. When I told her about the second order she told me there was no order with the most unnecessary attitude for some reason, because calling for a curbside pickup after having technical difficulties is such a big situation for her to handle I suppose? She gave me attitude claiming my order just didn’t exist I showed her my order numbers and she again with attitude said “I’ll have to look for it then” and came out with a order that in fact did exist. I shop here all the time. My income is based on items I make and sell and a big portion of supplies I need do come from your store in Chicago ridge, but I don’t think any customer would want to deal with such a rude and nasty person when there wasn’t even a issue present until she had such a nasty response and attitude for no reason at all. I’ve worked in retail and I completely understand having a bad day and not being yourself sometimes but this old lady was just nasty and shouldn’t work in retail if your first response after someone was kind to you is to be unnecessarily nasty. I will be contacting corporate as well cause the whole situation was so unnecessary. All the other employees at Chicago ridge are always so kind and helpful and actually happy to assist and talk to guests so it’s sad to see Michaels hiring people like that. I will definitely be reconsidering shopping at the Chicago ridge location if I’ll have to deal with people like that that work there."

"My favorite place. I get the best deals on my canvas and plant pots. Never pay full price because there’s alway a sale and you can use your Michaels rewards to get additions like discounts and rewards. I love that you get a 90 days grace to return an item in case you changed your mind. The staff super helpful especially Hollywood who tremendously went out of her to help my canvas get delivered to my home safely. She always make my shopping experience at Michaels fun!!!"

"My wife and I typically head out to a different craft store but we were pressed for time and went here instead. They have a great selection for what we needed and for the size of the store had a nice inventory. The staff was very helpful and was not able only to locate the items but walked us to them. I think unless we needed to be back in the Burbs we would definitely return to this location."
