"Amazing........My basement took on about 3 ft of water after major downpour. Called around to multiple places for an estimate. After multiple quotes i decided to go with ABSOLUTELY DRY. They came out, looked at my basement, gave me a quote, and went to work. Before they came out I knew very little about mold...now i know a lot after they explained it to me. They had to come in my house, pull up floor, take down molded dry wall, and rid the basement of mold. The best thing about this company is that the inspections when they are done is outsourced by another company.......meaning when they are done, someone else gives the ok. So i think it was about three people in my basement working and i had to take off work for a week, and work from home. I was able to work from home without any distractions....Ninjas? The price was fair and the work is spectacular. Nick will get you right and i LOVE your crew....My name is Chef Tony of Northwest Indiana........and i will always refer this company and never forget.....Thanks"
"I called Absolutely Dry after filing an insurance claim 2 years ago. They were prompt, respectful and pleasant to work with. Certainly easier to get a return call back from than my insurance adjuster. Would use them again if there ever is a need."
"The crew that came out was fantastic. Jeremy and his team were so professional, polite, and understanding. They did their best to keep us informed when the office was not being very communicative. Chris in the office was polite but when having to take a leave of absence for illness had no backup plan and gave no one else access to our case file. This caused our whole insurance claim to be delayed because the mitigation information had not been submitted even after 2 weeks of the work being completed. I can say that the work done was great but on the administration side, communication and professional don't always seem to be top priority."
"This company did water mitigation for our home following Hurricane Florence. While there were two people who worked with us who were wonderful and extremely helpful during the process (Brian and Daniel), we had and are continuing to issues with Absolutely Dry. The issues started with temps they hired threatening my husband and food and garbage being scattered around the home by the same temps the company hired. This was addressed professionally by Brian but it was extremely upsetting to deal with in the first place. Next, there was an issue with the company losing our blueprints. They did no reach out to us to get the blueprints until December (between Christmas and New Years) when we were visiting family and unable to get them in a timely manner. After providing the blueprints, we did not receive the invoice (for work that was completed in September) until 21 January. Unfortunately I was told that the invoice was already sent to the insurance company. After I received the invoice, I found issues with it that could have been noted if the invoice was sent to me first including a fee for work that was not completed by the company and charges that were not separated the way myself and my insurance adjuster had asked for multiple times. When I talked to a company representative to be unnamed they told me 1) they were “new to the business and was not yet familiar with the process” and therefore not familiar with how to separate bills into two charge categories and 2) was very sure my insurance company would not allow me to see the invoice before they received it. The charges were fixed and a second invoice was sent 15 February (again to me and the insurance company without me seeing it first.). I again, ensured the next day that my insurance company received the invoice. Unfortunately due to my husband and I being active duty military, we were unable to make a time to conference call with the company regarding the bill until recently. In the mean time, my insurance company still has my bill and I asked them to review it as able. This company has now sent threatening paperwork to us claiming we were supposed to pay them sooner when we did not get the invoice until THIS YEAR DUE TO THEIR LACK OF MAINTAINING PROPER RECORDS. Along with that, they are expecting a charge to be handled immediately by the insurance company which is not possible due to the scope of the charges. We’ve been more than willing to work with them. I’m more than willing to speak to a manager about this and will be following up with the company unlike they way they have with us and their legal paperwork. I’m total, Please be careful if you decide to use them, they seem unable to handle large scale projects."
"Customers beware. This company was recommended to me by my insurance broker and they were quick to respond which I appreciate. The mistake I did was not getting an estimate of the work they are going to do. They removed the water from my basement and left fans to dry the place. All that process took less than two days, most of the time the fans were just blowing the air. Communication was poor during the whole time. I contracted my own restoration company to do the reconstruction work because I was not happy with the way they were handling things. They always give you the impression that they're so busy and dont have time for you. Once their job was complete, I requested a bill. Typical conversation went like "we will get back to you", or the project manager saying "I will send this right over". Never did receive anything. Months pass by and I get a past due bill in the mail worth $4,500. Serious price gouging to say the least! The total area was not even more than 600 sq-ft. I cant stress enough for the reader - do your homework and get estimate from reputable vendors before you contact this company. I am sure it will take them months to get you estimate like other people have mentioned here, because they're "so busy". I believe they prey on desperate customers like me and send you ridiculous bills at the end. Just to give you a comparison, the total reconstruction work (material + labour) was less than $4,200. I wonder how much this company would have charged me for that if demolition was worth four and half grand. Ridiculous!"
