"We liked this store originally because they were one of the few pool stores that were open on Saturdays, they were closer to us than many other stores, and they were really friendly. My working hours make it really difficult to get in during the week, especially with how far everything is from us. We're newer hottub owners and it was nice to be able to ask questions We thought we were in luck with the beautiful weather before it gets cold, a perfect opportunity to get the supplies we need and drain the hottub for cleaning. They really need to update their hours on here. I drove 45 minutes one way, only do discover that they are no longer open on Saturdays. Very disappointed"

"Simply an awful place to do business with. We called them to look at our pool pump when it started making a loud noise. They stated they would come look and then call us and tell us what was wrong/what we needed to do. We never heard back from them. Fast forward about 4 weeks later and we come home from our honeymoon to discover they’ve installed a new pool pump without our request or permission and billed us over 700 dollars. When I spoke to the female owner she proceeded to yell at me, stating my husband had come in to the store and requested this be done, which was not true (my husband had only ever been in that store one time about a year prior). She then realized that she had mixed us up with someone with same last name who had asked for their pump to be replaced. I realize mistakes happen, but then she still proceeded to yell at me that it wasn’t her problem that she made a mistake, it was ours. When I asked if we could return the pump and have our original back, she said that wasn’t an option because they’d already thrown ours away. So long story short we will never do business with these people again because of their shady practices. We now use Terry’s pool supply in Vincennes. They are friendly, honest people who are happy to help, tell you the cost up front, and get permission before doing any work."

"Read the bottom review for a true review of this company I originally gave a 5 start after my first time dealing with them and the first section was my review at that time my feeling have changed on this company big time after mishap after mishap with them and their service. this company is the easiest company and most helpful company I have ever dealt with. I'm a new pool owner and I will never go anywhere else for pool help and services. They walk you through steps that need to be taken with the pool as well as respond quickly on anything I need. I have had them out 3 times now and its been the most smooth process each time. I'm in the customer services industry as well and am hard to please at times but they are amazing!! Thank you S & S pool & Supplies for all your help! I really try to give good reviews to companies I Left this original review above when we first moved in 3 years ago since this review was left we have had mostly bad service from this company. They are super polite when you go into the store to buy chemicals but besides that the service and work has not been up to par. Last year when I tried to get them to close the pool they informed me that they were only going to close pools for “loyal” customers who bought all their pool supplies from them. I sometimes buy pool supplies other places in bulk when I can find it because S and S prices are double from other suppliers. But I still bought about a quarter to half my supplies from them for the year. They ended up closing the pool after I pleaded with them to do it but it was a hassle. The following year I tried to get them to open the pool they never showed up by the time they said they would so I ended up doing it myself. This year we have been told since august that we were on their closing list. My wife and I both have called or stopped in about once a month since then to double check that we were still on the list and they said each time we are behind but we will get to you. I finally called today to be told we are not closing pools anymore never once did I get a phone call to tell me they would not be doing our pool. So we are left stranded here in November with freezing temps right around the corner trying to find another company to come do it. I try to support local companies but will not be doing business with this company anymore between opening closing and chemicals I know we spend close to $1500 if not more a year with s and s and we also need a new pool liner which they also never got around to doing last year when we asked. May not be a lot of money for this company but if they continue to treat their customers like this they won’t have any customers left. Really disappointed in how this company has changed since we started doing business with them."

"So my husband called S and S to close our pool and they agreed to do it. They came out and started the process and drained some of the water out and then unhooked the lines... then they couldn’t get our outside plug in to work so they just left it that way. They didn’t knock on our door or ring our doorbell to check with us about the outlet which we could have easily fixed for them had they let us knw. So we called them the next day after we saw that it wasn’t closed and they refused to come back out and finish the job. So they started the job and instead of letting us know they couldn’t finish at that time, they just left without telling us anything. My husband then called them and was very polite and asked what happened and if they could come out and finish the job and they said no and was very rude and hung up on him. Very unprofessional place. Wouldn’t advise anyone going to them for a pool closing."
