"Recently moved from The Block , Indianapolis after 4 years here started in a 1 bedroom the first year and moved into a 2 bedroom for 3 years. I have nothing but Great things to say about my time here and had I not moved out of state would not have moved. The location, views, size of all apartments and closet space is amazing. Bianca the leasing Manager and her team are professional, helpful and responsive if ever needed! Emery and Jose with maintenance are equally awesome, should I ever get back to Indy you will definitely see me back at The Block!"

"I recently toured The Block, lead by Kenyetta. Kenyetta was so personable and instantly made me feel at home. She showed me all of the wonderful amenities The Block has to offer, and shared interesting details about the history of the building. The building itself is well-maintained, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly."

"I've lived at the Block for a few years now. It's really difficult to beat the location. As a household with a dog, I appreciate all the places we can go for walks. Additionally, the addition of a shuffleboard and pool table gives us things to do when we want to get out of our complex but not leave the building. Exercise space is also great on days that we have a training session but don't want to leave. The proximity to the cultural trail also makes it easy to go to various places around downtown without needing to park! The maintenance and office personnel are all friendly and quick to respond. It should be noted personnel has changed often during our time at the Block. There were times we considered to move but more recently we have staff that genuinely seem to care and are quick to respond."

"My roommate and I have lived here since July and absolutely loved our experience so far. The maintenance requests are very timely done, the apartment is amazing and the rent is unbeatable. We hope to renew once our lease is up again!"

"I have lived at the block for over 6 years and tolerated the inconsistency for the convenience of location. Getting issues with the apartment taken care of has always been a problem. With the new owners and the current property manager, Kanika the residence is completely unsafe. As the other reviews have stated there is no longer a security guard and the garage doors are frequently broken. This allows many random people to roam the building. There have been evidence of people living in the stairwells with no response from upper management. I have held off on posting this review because I absolutely loved my apartment for so long, not the complex or the management team. The location of my apartment, the views, the ability to walk to most places. The new renovations have completely taken all character out of the building and have finally pushed me to post this. I was notified one day prior to a renovation company coming into the apartment that they would be switching out our white appliances for stainless steel. The email states “all food contents in the refrigerator should be bagged for transfer.” I don’t personally keep grocery bags after I put my groceries away so I had no way to bag them, but did clarify with the renovation workers that the food would be moved into the new refrigerator. When I came home 7 hours later all of my food was sitting on the counter $350 worth of groceries. I have sent Kanika multiple emails and she has never responded. While the team was also installing these appliances somehow my deadbolt was broken in half. When I called the emergency number, the phone was never answered. After calling for 20 minutes and leaving a voicemail, luckily José, the maintenance man, called me back. He does not live on site so he made a phone call to the individual who was supposed to be the emergency maintenance. They had to use a crowbar to get into the apartment. This left me without a deadbolt all night long. I called at 6:30AM the next morning and José said this was deemed an emergency, a locksmith should be there very shortly. I emailed and called Kanika as many times as I could during my shift and apparently the locksmith wasn’t able to fix the deadbolt until I finally got her to answer the phone at 4:30PM. Here it is 3 days later and I STILL do not have a door latch on my apartment door. The deadbolt is the only way the door will remain closed. This is completely unsafe and inexcusable. Resident safety is the last concern of the management team."
