"I would not recommend this place and have recommended against it to anyone moving to the area. TLDR - maintenance and the leasing office are difficult and incompetent. I am typically a laid back person and rarely leave reviews, but my experience here was so atrociously bad that I feel I have to warn others. The apartments themselves are large and spacious, but the appliances and details are a bit dated. The rent charged is on par with the new-build apartments that have brand new appliances and ammenities - not that big of an issue, but just an FYI that you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere. I found maintenance and the leasing office incredibly difficult to work with. When I moved in, there was water on my bedroom windowsill after rain. I noted it on my move-in inspection form. I then submitted a maintenance request, to which they said the window was not properly shut and latched (plot twist - it was shut and latched). After maintenance came, the window continued to leak every time it rained, and it impacted the temperature in my bedroom significantly. December 2022 when a cold snap happened, my bedroom temperature sank to 36 degrees. My furnace did not go out, the window was just that drafty. There was snow on the inside of my window. I called the emergency maintenance hotline and they just replaced my furnace filter and closed the report, so I had to call again. Maintenance came and did the worst job imaginable on wrapping my window- I don't think they had ever wrapped a window, despite directions being on the box. Pictures show after I had asked maintenance to trim the extra wrap and to "seal it with the hairdryer". The draft was so strong it ripped the wrap off my window 15 minutes later. I ended up getting spray foam insulation and just spraying that around the edges of my window rather than calling maintenance again. The leaky window had caused my electric usage to nearly double/triple compared to previous apartments with comparable square footage, despite keeping the AC high in the summer (78*) and the furnace low in the winter (62*) to keep usage low. The leasing office was incredibly resistant in providing any help or acknowledgement of the situation. They eventually just replaced the entire window come spring after asking multiple times. It improved but did not fix the issue. I only had another month of my lease before moving out, so I did not push it any further as some of the leasing office's responses were offensive/insulting to me. This was the biggest issue I faced. Other issues included delays in replacing the crumbling staircase, maintenance using zip ties to hold things together, broken entrance doors, etc. Save your sanity, do not live here. Would not recommend."
"The apartment office were very prompt in taking care of the needs of the tenents. The maintenance team was awesome. They were very quick in fixing the issues and they listen to you and make sure they render asap! Awesome!"
"Maintenance team is always professional and pleasant to work with. I’ve lived here for about 9 months now and had 3 or 4 work orders in for miscellaneous things, they’ve always completed work orders for me in a timely manner."
"Great place to live. Maintenance is quick to respond, the main office is very helpful and nice, and the area is kept very clean. They work with food trucks to come by all the time and local businesses for deals. For the location and the size of the apartments the pricing is quite good. I have had no complaints!"
"By far this place was my favorite place to live in Carmel! My husband and I lived here for a year after moving from a sister community elsewhere and we loved it! It's been almost a year since we moved in favor of a bigger rental and let m tell you, we miss this place everyday! It really felt like a community you can make into a home here! I remember the new mail woman misdelivered several pieces of mail that I needed for my wedding a few days later and I was so upset when I called the clubhouse. They immediately got to work tracking down and though it took some hours them found my items and hand delivered them to me. We locked ourselves out several times and we could always count on someone being there even at 3am to let us in. We loved the gym and taking walks around the complex in the evening because it was so peaceful. I even enjoyed how close the complex was to everything yet how remote it felt from the hustle and bustle. I think the only 2 things we disliked was driving 146 street to get home, which we learned to avoid by taking the scenic drive through River Road and we had a leak under our sink that took over a week for someone to come fix and by the time they did, we had water damage that they eventually charged us for despite our calling 3 times to report the issue throughout that week. Still, nothing worth lowering my rating over."
