"Fairfield Inn My family and I recently stayed at this hotel due to needing to stay somewhere to help plan my father in laws funeral. The first night we were there, my toddler had leaked through his pull-up. Before our day at around noon, we asked the lady at the front desk that we needed room service. She informed us normally they don’t clean the rooms until every fourth day (on the Marriott app, it says every other day for this hotel,) and that since it was after 11, housekeeping already had their assignments for the day, but she could try to squeeze us in. I said that was fine, if they couldn’t get to it until the next day that was fine. We got back to the trash taken out, but no new bedding. The next morning we verified we were down for a full service for the day, since we still needed clean bedding, the lady at the front desk, Teresa, was very nice and said she will make sure that it got done. We got back to the hotel around 5pm that evening and had, what can I only assume was the manager, same lady as the previous morning, approach us in the lobby to tell us that it was in fact cleaned that day. We get up to our room, and it was not even touched. My husband goes to the front desk, and the manager had left for the day, he then informs the front desk, we need full service cleaning again. 6 am rolls around the following day, and I have to go to the front desk to request some toilet paper, it’s Teresa again. I double check we are in fact on the list for housekeeping ,because my husband and children both had been sick throughout the night, and got some on the blankets/sheets. As she is writing it down, another lady comes in and immediately gets an attitude with me as soon as she finds out my room number. Her first question was how many days have you been here, it should not matter, if I want my room cleaned, it should be cleaned. Before I can even respond she looks at the computer and says well it looks like you are checking out tomorrow, again shouldn’t matter. Teresa and I both tried to explain to her that my kids got sick, but she has the worst attitude. She responds that’s not what I asked, I’m trying to double check that the information is correct that you are checking out tomorrow. I flat out told her I didn’t appreciate her attitude. She tried saying she didn’t have attitude she was trying to get information, but her tone of voice would say otherwise. She then walked off and told Teresa to put us first on the list to get cleaned. I told Teresa, I’m not trying to be difficult, I’m just trying to get some clean bedding, she was more than friendly to me unlike the other lady. It just seems like we were pulling teeth to get someone to do the job they are paid to do, especially when there is a hand written note from the manager when we get there, saying if we needed anything let them know. I shouldn’t have to all but beg for some clean sheets. We would have stayed somewhere else, if we hadn’t used Marriott points for this hotel. We didn’t want to lose the points for checking out earlier than anticipated."
"Evelyn went above and beyond to help me with a reservation issue I had created in the system. She solved my problem and I really appreciate it! Also when we stayed, our room was without a hair dryer but we desperately needed one to get to a cheer competition on time. The employee on duty (unfortunately I didn't note the name) who was relatively new to the hotel owned my stress and found one and hand delivered it to the room. Thanks to the great employees for your help!"
"We came for a volleyball tournament and after seeing the hotel they placed us in was absolutely disgusting, we switched hotels and came to this one. The hotel is so nice and beautiful, it felt like heaven after enduring the first. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. The room was very spacious and clean. We were bummed we didn’t have time to use them but the pool, fitness room and breakfast area looked very nice too. The only complaints I have are that the fire alarms in the rooms have blinking lights on them that are EXTREMELY bright! So much that it was a struggle to sleep. And we wished they would have had coffee and a few breakfast foods (fruits/cereal/granola bars, yogurt) out earlier on the weekends."
"First time at this hotel. Staff was very pleasant. Check in was easy. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Had places to charge phones. A mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, closet with ironing board and also hairdryer in bathroom. Breakfast was free and included eggs, sausage ,oats, bagels, muffins, cereal, yogurt , juice, coffee, fruit and much more. Also had an indoor swimming pool but did not have time to check it out. I would definitely recommend staying there"
"I used the app to book two nights and check in, but had to go to desk to get a key. 20 long minutes and a phone call to a manager later, we had our key. We booked a room with a couch (we thought) but there wasn’t one. Also no chair (other than the “office style chair”.) It was clean, but had an odor like exhaust or scotch guard. Towels and sheets especially. Other than someone arriving later than us, it was quiet. The room had a smoke detector which flooded the room with a bright light every few seconds. I couldn’t sleep facing it. I woke up several times because of it. No mirror in the main room, only bathroom. No fan in bathroom so the mirror stayed fogged for a bit. No full length mirror anywhere. Light switches are strangely placed. No USB outlets on my side of bed (husband had them) so I found one on the coffee stand. Apparently plug doesn’t stay on when light is out. Woke up to a dead watch. Nowhere to hang your towel after you shower or while you are showering other than the over the shower door. Faucet in sink is placed so far back that you can’t wash hands without hitting the sink. The breakfast bar was routinely out of milk for coffee, but the staff was sweet and helpful. The pool is indoors, but apparently not heated."
