"Being in the NICU under Dr Bierd and Dr Bruce's care was the biggest nightmare of our lives. Please if you are there now, request a transfer to UAB (as we did after ultimately a MONTH of being lied to and being held hostage.) She threatened us daily that she would get a court order to remove or daughter from our care. She refused to answer any of our questions. After we demanded a transfer to UAB the doctors there couldn't understand why she had been hospitalized so long and let her out the next day. All the doctors at UAB confirmed that this is a recurrent theme at the Saint Vincents NiCU- keep a baby hospitalized for much longer than medically necessary to pad their pockets. The Saint Vincents nicu is run by a private practice which means how full their nicu is corresponds directly into how much money goes into their pocket every month. This is not true for UAB- they are incentivized to get patients discharged as quickly as they can b/c the are all salaries by the hospital! I have been in touch with so many other families that dr bierd has hurt. Please don't be another one of them! Contact me on fb if you had a negative experience or need emotional support right now!"
"This was our assigned pediatrician during our delivery at St. Vincent's hospital since our pediatrician that we picked did not have access privileges to the hospital... Anyways, Dr. Bierd was extremely RUDE and has terrible bed side manners. She came in the room (we had never met her before) and just walks in takes my child from my arms, unwraps her and takes her clothes off and checks her before finally telling us who she is and what she is doing. Then when she leaves, she just leaves our baby unclothed and unwrapped. The worst part was that our baby ended up having some bilirubin problems... Dr. Bierd forced us to stay several extra days in the miserable hospital even though the bilirubin levels were not severe at all and was to be expected and normal with a 3 week early baby. We should have been allowed to take our child home when we felt appropriate and then pursue care with our own pediatrician but instead we were told if we didn't do what Dr. Bierd said, they would call social services on us."
"This twit should have her medical license revoked permanently. How DARE she TELL parents what they have to do as far as vaccines go for newborns. She better be counting her lucky stars that it wasn't ME she was having that conversation with, that's all I can say. And if I were the parents, I would sue her ass off. Please, Alabama State Medical Licensing Agency - look into all of the complaints about her blackmailing threats and get her out of medicine before she does more harm!"
"Hep B is a disease that sex workers and IV drug users are at risk for, not newborn babies. It should NOT even be on the schedule for babies. It's an extremely dangerous vaccine, studies have shown that babies who receive it at birth are 3 times more likely to be diagnosed later as autistic than babies who don't get that shot. I didn't know enough to research vaccines when I was pregnant until after my son was vaccine injured. I give kudos to parents who are smart enough to say NO to poisonous vaccines and no PSYCHO so-called doctor has the right to give unwanted shots to YOUR child...let alone the emotional torture these people went through because of that criminal lunatic. She should be in jail with her medical license revoked."
"BIRMINGHAM, AL — Parents of a healthy newborn infant were told to consent to injecting him with drugs or lose him to the state. This successful blackmail scheme was made possible by the state’s horrifying ability to seize children without due process. Aliea Bidwell and Ben Gray became new parents on March 14th, 2014. Their experience turned from joy to dismay when their parenthood was already being threatened on their son’s first day outside of the womb. Ben and Aliea gave a detailed account of their experience to The INQUISITR. When the parents expressed their desire to forgo vaccines for their hours-old baby, they drew the ire of a particularly nasty staff member at St. Vincent’s Hospital. A pediatrician named Dr. Terry M. Bierd allegedly told the parents that they would either submit their son, Aaron, to a Hepatitis B vaccine or else she would call Alabama’s Child Protective Services (CPS) to report them as negligent parents. The threat was very real, in a system which allows families to be split apart without a trial, without evidence, without a defense, without a jury — without a law even being broken. As the parents balked, the threat was repeated throughout the day and made in front of a dozen family members, The INQUISITR reports. A time was set for the ultimatum to expire. Dr. Bierd allegedly said that once Aaron was in the hands of social workers, he would be injected immediately and it would be difficult for them to get him back."
