"Best place to have your babies! Although alot of staff are young they are also very respectful and very very much so competent in doing their job plus more simply because they love what they do. If I could give a million stars I would"
"This has been the absolute worst experience I've ever had dealing with hospitals for my wife. Food and nutrition are absolutely incompetent. Nurses ignoring the call buttons for 30 min to an hour every single day. Doctors just brush off anything you have to say. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Grandview is so much better"
"If you are a woman of color and expecting, UAB is NOT the place to deliver your baby and receive specialized care. You are not viewed as an individual, you are viewed as a "case study" and they place every stereotype on you. If you pass certain tests, they still find a way to say you failed. They want to place every aliment upon you because it's how they receive more money and can boost their statical data to receive more funds from the state. I had the absolute WORST experience with the team of doctors on the 10th Floor. Please seer clear Dr. Cawyer and Dr. Webster and David Pasternak. Their treatment was racist and unethical. I have spoken with doulas, other health care professionals as well as other women of color who received care at UAB, and all had similar experiences. In my 8 month of pregnancy, I felt in my gut that I just couldn't deliver my baby at UAB...our lives depended on it. So I changed doctors and my delivery hospital and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. That decision literally saved me and child's life, I truly feel that at UAB one of us might not have survived."
"Everyone was awesome! Definitely glad I chose to come here. Leigh Lorino was great! The other ladies, sorry I can’t remember their names or they’d be on here they were great too!"
"Through my pregnancies, this is the 3rd hospital I tried. I had a very beautiful experience through pregnancy, labor and Postpartum. All the team from nurses to OBGYN doctors were supportive to my choices, honest, respectful and kind. I would choose Women and infants center again and again. I do recommend you choose them if you want a positive delivery and a team who support your choices! Thank you so much"
